I’m struggling to get it to work, FAQ says I need to install a shortcut but the gallery doesn’t load from the link. Any tips? Thanks
When you create a new "action" it has you select/link an app. If the app that you want isn't on the list they have you'll have to enter the url in the search field and tap custom. Most urls are the app name and then :// (ex: BookPlayer://). Then select the image. Click app, and search the app again. This pulls from the App Store so your app image should populate in the list now. Save.

Now on the Lock Screen, you add the widget and tap on the widget to select the app you want to open. Save the Lock Screen.

When you tap on it for the first time it will give you a prompt asking if you want to open the app, press open. You don't have to do that anymore and when you click on the widget it should launch that app without any pop-ups or other apps launching.

Just tried this one. It lets me add Facebook to my lock screen, but Tweetbot doesn't show up as an option even though I created it. Hmmm.
This was in the FAQs:

LockLauncher lists some of the most popular apps but supports any website or URL.

Many apps have a way to open them using a URL such as tiktok:// will open TikTok.

If you can't find the app in the list, try using the apps name with no spaces and adding '//' to the end.

If that doesn't work, try to search online: 'app name url scheme iOS'

As a last resort, you can create a Siri Shortcut that opens the app and use the Siri Shortcut link in LockLauncher (shortcuts://x-callback-url/run-shortcut?name=ShortcutName). That way you can launch the app using Siri Shortcuts.

This is a perfect example of a piece of software offering a subscription where it's entirely not necessary. If you want to use this app and are perfectly happy with the functionality it offers today, there should be an option to purchase it outright.

I understand that developers want to be paid for the ongoing development of their software and that makes sense if there are new features to be added in future. But when you're buying a set of features that are already there and you're happy to live with them perpetually, let's see a standard purchase option.
I was actually excited to try this until I saw it's subscription based. I am slowly removing apps one by one that require subscriptions (feels like it's a new one every month now) and looking for alternatives.

Just get lock launcher for 0.89 as a one off payment

This is a great app. Thanks.

You need to choose the only symbol you see under the LockLauncher widget section. It will be the first one you set up, say it was Safari - So if you set up four of them, put the safari widget up 4 times. Then tap the widget when it’s in place, then you can choose the one you want from the contextual menu.

Seems to work well, except the launcher app also opens when opening an app from the lock screen.

Not sure which app you're referring to, but this is not the case when using Lock Launcher! Give that a go instead it works well!

Has anyone figured out how to add more options to increase the usefulness of being only allowed 4?

I thought maybe it may be possible to use a URL scheme to trigger a selectable drop down list from shortcuts. It works I suppose, but it seems very messy in my limited knowledge of shortcuts programming.

Can anyone refine this type of workflow?
