Another head scratcher from this morning’s announcements: why give the new iPad a better keyboard than the Pro model (function keys, etc) ? The only thing I can think of is that there is another Magic Keyboard coming at some point in the not too distant future. But if so, seems to be a missed opportunity to not introduce it today.

Unfortunately people have been saying that for several years now and it never seems to happen. I get wanting to have 2 separate “systems”. But why load up the iPad Pro with all that processing power and then hobble the OS so that it really can’t take full advantage of it.

Because they want to sell Macbooks... I have to imagine if they did this it would put a serious dent in Mackbook air sales.

But their model is supposed to be that the lower device pushes the higher one. If the iPad challenges the MBA, then the MBA needs to find a way to justify itself.
