It is past 10:00 AM PDT in Cupertino, California. I'm scared. 
really no need for 16.3.1 so soon really surprised by this development. 16.4 won't be out to mid march so we are going to ride 16.3.1 for an entire month?

Starting to wonder if the release is tied to an announcement of some sort which hasn’t been made yet.
My guess is iOS 16.3.1 will be released on Monday and the 16.4 Beta 1 on Tuesday.
Not a totally dry day I guess

Do you know who’s there to replace him? We’re getting tired of waiting and having false hope.
I heard they are trying to get ahold of Steve Ballmer but he won’t return their calls.
Who knows, maybe we’ll even see a 16.3.2 before public 16.4.
This has been the weirdest conversation about a beta rollout ever! 😂🤣
That’s actually not a bad thought. My money is on some zero day bug that they need to patch even for beta testers (who would miss out on a fix if the patch were not added to the beta). Of course, that could be the announcement you allude to.
So the patch would be in both 16.3.1 (and is actually the main reason for that release) and 16.4 (which is the reason for the holdup as they add the code in and dogfood it before releasing outside the company).
We won’t know until it’s been released and they tell everyone to jump on it immediately.
If this is the case, a Friday or even a weekend release of 16.3.1 would not be out of the question. 16.4 less likely but still possible on Friday.
We’ll see!

I say there is a 0% chance. I got tired of having false promises and false hope this week. It was rough and tough! I think @Kylo83 is spot on. It will be next week.
Maybe Apple is not happy overall since they missed the quarterly earnings or Samsung released a 200 MP Camera, or it could be there was only one iOS software engineer working in Cupertino, CA and he decided to quit yesterday. Hopefully, Apple finds a replacement for him this weekend. A lot has happened this week. iOS 16.4 Beta shall rise 🕯️. Bless up!
