Yet the HomePod and watch profiles work just fine. And I was able to enroll the Mac in dev betas through Terminal. But iPhone, nada. Tim is really trying to let us know: his Karenism isn't just skin-deep.
Not like you need the iPadOS and iOS changes today. If it doesn't work in some capacity its would be just complaints.
Here's today's Dev seed builds
  • iOS 16.5 beta 3 (20F5050f) - April 25, 2023
  • iPadOS 16.5 beta 3 (20F5050f) - April 25, 2023
  • macOS 13.4 beta 3 (22F5049e) - April 25, 2023
  • watchOS 9.5 beta 3 (20T5549e) - April 25, 2023
  • tvOS 16.5 beta 3 (20L5549e) - April 25, 2023

Sure but it won’t do you any good. They no longer use profiles for betas and will automatically delete it after you install it. You have to use the beta toggle in the software update section now.
When did they start deleting it? I just noticed today that my profile was gone... I tried installing it again and by the time I restarted my phone it was gone.

Same, looks like they don’t want people bothering them about all the unresolved bugs anymore.

Updated 04/25/23: Apple has released the third beta of iOS 16.5 to developers, with the public beta expected within the next day. There have been no new features discovered since the first beta of this release

Nah. They want people who actually paid for the developer access to have access to the developer access.

Do you KNOW who I am?! My father, who works at Nintendo, surely won’t be pleased to hear about this! I want Tim on the line, stat!

Amen. The release cadence since holidays and the new year has seen some pretty outstanding gaps…the struggle is real but we come crawling back for more 🤒😪
Apple for sure taking its sweet time. I have a feeling majority of the focus has been shifted toward iOS 17. April needs to be over already after that we just have to get through May.

Beats Studio+ release on 18th May apparently, so I'd guess we will have 16.5 before then. Beta 4 or RC next week maybe then release the week after.

The new watchOS beta also seems to contain the new Pride watch face and band. Typically these have been released in mid-May the last three years and require an update so that’s probably when new releases will come out for the public.
Is this what you are talking about? If true I wonder when will Apple release the new bands.

Looks like sprinkles. Funky looking!

Hey people! With the drop of the third beta yesterday, have your expectations of having iOS 16.5 by the first week of may changed? Maybe the second week? What do you think?

Can’t even find the iOS 17 spec thread - it’s not pinned like before.

So…

I’m really struggling with the customisation choices or lack of in the right direction on the lock screen. I think we all on here want the options to control what apps are on the lock screen quick buttons, if have any appear at all.

Who cares about the size of fonts, give us the functions that we’ve wanted for years 😆😂.

P.s Obvs a toggle for pro users to NOT have the home bar visible as well.

Waiting for the iOS/iPadOS 17 subforum as well. Yes, I too want the option to disable the home bar, but knowing Apple I don’t think they will provide it, as the home bar is part of the design just like it was the notch and make the iPhone distinguishable… well, at least before most Android started to copy it.

But, I wouldn’t expect the removal of the home bar even as an accessibility setting tbh.

I’m thinking RC or release the week of May 15th.
The final 3 weeks before WWDC is a marketing dead zone. You don’t want it Mid May release because then you are out of time for production announcements. Yes it becomes the worst time to market just before WWDC, and distracts from WWDC. It’s why it’s got to be wrapped up by then. If next week is RC which seems so given MacOS stability/optimization then it ends Monday after next.
