iOS 16 Speculation Thread

There is no set day or time for betas. We have had betas come at 4pm eastern in the past. And we have even had a Thursday before. Also there could be things beyond our control or Apple's control that could be delaying the release. Either a feature they want to include or a bug fix, they may have found a bad bug. There are lots of reasons why it's been 3 weeks now and with it being 3 weeks I would suspect something along those lines has happened...
 
I mean the current beta has been stable and all my apps work so maybe they are going to release the next beta next week instead. 😛

You know, I'm with you on this (not the starving cat part, I hasten to add!). Last year, after the PB was released, the cadence was all Tues (DP) / Weds (PB) until the end of August. Now, we know that Apple frequently likes to mess with our heads, but that still seems like the logical weekly sequence. So, I'm giving it a 20% chance yet today and 80% tomorrow. I don't see it not happening this week, however.

This next beta is most likely going on my main iPhone, so I hope it's coming tomorrow. Otherwise, it'll be next week since Thursday all eyes will be on the earnings report.

We’re spoiled this year because beta 3 has been pretty damn stable overall. Battery life is not great compared to 15.6 but that’s to be expected for a beta. Apple only has about a month to get the final version down so hopefully fine tuning things like battery life happens soon. I also think tomorrow is more likely compared to Thursday but who knows.

I also think it’s too early for Apple to release public on the same day as developer, but it usually trails only by 1-2 days at this point in the cycle. This means developer has to come out by tomorrow in order for public to come out by Friday, unless they wait until next week.

Do you think all of the Apple employees say to themselves “Behold! Earnings shall be announced today. Let us rejoice and be glad and perform no labor”?

Nope. It’s a day just like any other day other than calling their brokers to short the stock, which almost always seems to drop after earnings are announced.
