iOS is not delayed, the fork called iPadOS apparently is. No one cares about iPadOS anyways it‘s such a lackluster release and still feels like the redheaded stepchild of Apples software division.
A wee bit harsh, don't you think? Admittedly, they probably need to do more to differentiate it and, more importantly, tailor it to take more advantage of the ipad's form factor. I for one am very excited about Stage Manager (at least I will be when I have an iPad that can use it, that is!)

You are correct looks most stories have edited their headlines a day ago to iPad only.

I am doing a spreadsheet of all of the iOS beta/public release release dates going back in time. This is a work in progress and I have only analyzed the releases going back through the initial release of the first beta of ios 15 (88 total!).

I thought I would present my initial findings relating to the distribution of the days of the week that releases are made. As suspected, Tuesday is (by a slim margin over Wednesday) the most popular release date.

More to come!

That’s pretty interesting. So it’s more likely a 50/50 chance for beta 5 to be dropped.

Wednesdays have been strong for betas so my guess is then, and after that weekly betas but with iPadOS being delayed it might mix things up

I'm with you on this. It's been Mondays or Wednesdays, why we would jump to a Tuesday... surely stay on Wednesdays then jump to a Monday for the Final Release.
