Whoops! My bad. Fixed.LIES! I joined on October 18, 2011. I don't post much.(You meant marzbarz.)
Don't those require a different kind of screen tech?No charging at all would be better, like Wacom pens.
Well, that's Apple's fault? Apple released iPad Pro with USB C in 7th November of 2018, and at the very same day they released Apple Pencil 2 what was to be used with that iPad with guess what? Lighting connector. Yeah. And now you are telling us that USB C move is causing e-waste, not all the Lighting clown fiesta for the sake of having licensing fees revenue from 3rd party cables and connectors. Users should be happy daddy EU spanked Apple's ass on thisso more e-waste
thanks. this usb-c move is such a cluster****
The Lightning Pencil 1 was released in 2015 with the first generation iPad Pros. The Pencil 2 that was released with the 2018 3rd generation iPad Pros charged magnetically not with a Lightning or USBC port.Well, that's Apple's fault? This is a dream since they introduced Force Touch trackpads!Or even possibly on a Mac’s trackpad which also wouldn’t have a magnetic way to charge it.
complaining at people who engage me about it? I'm simply voicing my opinion when someone is responding to it. why are you so against that? freedom of speech, that's all.Out of curiosity, how long do you intend to tilt at that windmill? (rhetorical, you don't have to answer that). Almost of your posts are moaning about USB-C: Complaining about the EU, complaining about Apple, complaining at people who try to engage you about it. Most one sentence, just angry reactions. That's it.
To be clear, you can prefer Lightning all you like. Not for me to tell you what connector is better for your uses. Stockpile Lightning cables and devices, if you want. But, as a practical, on-the-ground distinction, all the hand-wringing about will they or won't they, who forced who, etc. That ship has sailed. The iPhone 15 lineup is the line in the sand. Not worth the sturm und drang to belabor it, honestly.
1) you were assuming things about my argument that I never said.1) you assume things we don't know. 2) nobody forces you to upgrade. I have a gen 2 Apple Pencil and will be able to charge it with my iPad regardless if there is a new gen or not
absolutely the worst analogy I've ever read.Sounds like you drive a Model-T Ford because every vehicle model since then is just waste, right?
huh? simply reuse the Apple Pencil with wireless charging.Well, that's Apple's fault? Apple released iPad Pro with USB C in 7th November of 2018, and at the very same day they released Apple Pencil 2 what was to be used with that iPad with guess what? Lighting connector. Yeah. And now you are telling us that USB C move is causing e-waste, not all the Lighting clown fiesta for the sake of having licensing fees revenue from 3rd party cables and connectors. That's ok, you'll get over it. But it's still true to your theory.absolutely the worst analogy I've ever read.
I love the magnetic charger on the AP2. Very elegant.
I won't. It's that bad, unfortunately.That's ok, you'll get over it.
Nothing to do with the EU. Pretty sure Apple did this on their own as they switched over their iPad Pro line to USB-C almost five years ago creating all these incompatibility issues in their lineup.so more e-waste
thanks. this usb-c move is such a cluster****
Do ALL iPads support magnetic docking and charging? If not, then it may be a way to lower costs for those models. It really is elegant. It just works. But I also won’t put it past them to release a clumsier low end version with USB-C to make the more expensive higher end magnetic version more appealing. That’s the key reason why I think they rather cause “confusion” in the line up to upsell more high end pencils than to simplify their product line with an unified pencil.
