And, no, corporations can't force you to do anything. You can choose whether or not to use the app. Corporations can choose where/how to sell it and customers can choose whether or not they buy it.

The only one doing the forcing these days is Apple... Forcing their laughably hypocritical morality on developers and customers alike (no porn apps, but sex hookup apps are fine!). Forcing every developer into a "take it or leave it" agreement in order to sell their apps. Forcing users to sign up for being nannied by a big corporation in order to use the platform. Forcing developers to limit what kind of apps they develop because the big nanny says so.
I thought you said that corporations can't force you to do anything.

I would really like to see Apple include the health app on the iPad. There are so many things that a person may want to put in their health app on a device that is usually kept at home. Also, access to the Calendar app for this health app so that we could input our upcoming Medical appointments for doctors and tests, etc. this does not belong on iPhone only.

This, and also have it sync to the Health app on macOS (that doesn’t exist). Sometimes I’m only with my Mac and don’t have my iPhone with me. Would be great to drill down to specific data in a macOS version of the app.

Curious when the fruits of classical music streaming service Primephonic’s purchase will be unveiled. The August 2021 press release from Apple stated its plan “to launch a dedicated classical music app next year” — missed that one!

I took advantage of the annual offer that classical competitor Idagio offered at black Friday. They‘re a great company, too, but I’m interested in what Apple will offer and if they’ll keep or expand on Primephonic’s innovations like live, in-app listening notes.

Curiously, the Mac App Store was introduced on Snow Leopard.

But yeah, definitely, we need another iOS 12 focused on performance, speed, efficiency and bug fixes.

Oh, look how sexy that hardware looked back then. I’m not sure what rear I like the most, the curvy and glossy 3GS one, or the industrial, luxury looking iPhone 4 one.

The software looks pretty snappy for the machines that run it, tbh. It almost seems like a Forstall miracle.

Yeah, I’m pessimistic as well.
Actually the Mac App Store didn‘t come with Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard, aside from the redesigned QuickTime, was almost completely optimizations. Over a year later (October 2010), Apple demoed the App Store for OS X Lion. But in order to support their new OS distribution method of being download only, they made it compatible with OS X Snow Leopard; that way users could upgrade to the new OS X Lion directly from the App Store. So the App Store came in January 2011 with the .6 update to Snow Leopard, almost a year and a half after Snow Leopard debuted.

Exactly, it was made available on Snow Leopard OSX 10.6.6, yeah, I remember it clearly because I had Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro, and I remember that update.

I remember at that time, using snow leopard really felt like using the most advanced and productive operating system on the market. Only to get violently slapped in the face by the immense disappointment of that Lion was. Today we are truly living in the legacy of lion..

I’d like to finally see the ability to customize the Homescreen sort of like you can customize the Apple Watch faces. We got the lock screen last year, now the Homescreen needs some love. Just the ability to place icons anywhere, colors, dock customization, complications, and maybe a couple other things would go a long way to make things more interesting since it’s gotten so boring.

Also, once and for all make the widgets interactive so they actually serve a purpose!

Third party full screen weather backgrounds would be welcome too.

I’m hoping Apple will allow entitlements for Weather apps in CarPlay.

Spilt screen and place icons anywhere and I will be happy
I would like to know why it is that so few apps support split screen. You would think that apple would allow the settings app to be split screen, considering how many times you have to follow instructions from another site to obtain functionality in settings.
