As long as Siri is double digit IQ level, no other discussions merit having. It’s sad we’re still here so long after introducing this feature.
Well, it wouldn’t for me if I could make my HomePod listen for hey Siri and my iPad listen just for Siri. Then my HomePod would not be activating instead of my iPad with my HomePod can’t do half the things my iPad can.I really hope that dropping the “Hey” from “Hey Siri” doesn’t cause more problems than it solves.
How can you forget? She keeps popping up in normal conversations. For some reason I don't find myself using Siri anymore. Sometimes I forget it's even there.
Your sons name is “Hey”?Great, now instead of Siri just activating when I say "hey" (son's name) it will just activate every time I say his name which phonetically sounds NOTHING like "Siri".
I just wish when I was navigating already and I ask siri to navigate somewhere else it would just do it instead of telling me I'm already navigating. But can the new Siri handle this command?: "Navigate home and share my ETA with my family group."
No, but it does start with an S and phonetically sounds nothing like Siri.Your sons name is “Hey”?
It may but from what I’ve heard, you have the option to retain the “hey, Siri” version if you want.Hopefully dropping “Hey” doesn’t cause more false activations.
Ah gotcha hahaNo, but it does start with an S and phonetically sounds nothing like Siri.
To be fair, I haven’t been able to trigger Siri with these words preceded by “hey”.Would you please pass the cereal?
Are you serious?
Let me look up the serial number.
Completely off the subject here, but lately, when I asked Siri to read my calendar for the next day instead of her usual, reading of all my events, she just says you have three events tomorrow. And then does not proceed to read them off. I am not asking my question in any way differently, But then I have to struggle to get her to read what the events actually are or pick up my iPad, sometimes from across the room, and look at them myself. has anyone had Siri stop reading your calendar events to you and just tell you the number of events that you have?
You can choose "Hey Siri" rather than "Siri" to activate it.I don’t use Siri very often, but all of those are such nice improvements to it. I’m not really sure about dropping the “hey” part though.. it already gets activated a lot by accident, so I’m a little worried this could make it even worse![]()
