now fix:
  1. Siri so it understand basic tasks correct and do not write "hey Siri call Bryno " and the proceed to Call a totally other contact
  2. multiple timers
  3. fix so timer and alarm buttons are the same fracking place so when you press the middel you stop the alarm in both apps, and if you press the bottom you either snooze or repeat
  4. fix it so it don't autostart Apple Music 50%of the time when I try to continue to listen to my audiobook I have not used Apple Music since I had an iPhone 7, that is like 7 years ago - and yet it keeps on opening that app.
  5. fix it so my apple headphones that I have NEVER connected to my Mac mini on purpose don't start Apple Music on that either, but instead use the iPhone were I listen to like 2 hours of audiobooks every day and NEVER use for anything else but a call now and then... how hard is it to make machinelearning NOT open Apple Music 4 times a day.
  6. and the list goes on...
I feel like this would not have happened under Jobs, he was to much of a perfectionist
Preach! Just today I was with an Apple Care representative for TWO HOURS because my stupid Studio wrongly sees my LG displays as having a 4K display resolution when waking up from sleep, when they are clearly configured to render downscaled 5K, and borks quite a few of my apps (basically windows are shifted around and sometimes even truncated in height, it's maddening).

The owner of the airtag needs to have ios 17 installed to share an airtag. Does the invited person also need to have ios 17 or is ios 16 sufficient?

This is awesome news as my wife and I wanted to be able to track our daughter's diaper bag but had to put two in it so we could both track it.

The bad news is that my wife has an iPhone 8 which won't run iOS 17, so time to upgrade her phone!

Hey what happened to all the people saying :
"that is not possible do to limitations on the hardware"
"that is not possible due to limitations on the Bluetooth protocol and out of apples Hands"
"that would breach core security of the app"

when I asked for Apple to fix what is broken before getting me new stuff...

Well im glad they finally fixed that, so we can share a baby carriage and a car key

I agree with everything except #4. I wish it would open AppleMusic whenever I say "Hey Siri play my music. Approximately 70% of the time I get, "What application would you like to listen to this on?" I don't have any other service. Apple's machine learning/Siri/whatever you want to call it, is hot garbage.

With the way Apple is reintroducing old concepts (Mac desktop widgets, better performing spellcheck) I can't wait until next year when they announce "Siri performance that predates Apple's acquisition." 😄

Already cross platform. You can check it anywhere you have an access to a browser.
Please show me how! I'd love to have my Android wife (okay, that sounds bad but you know what I mean) be able to track our AirTags as well. Right now, the only was I can see that working is if she logs into MY iCloud account on her Samsung phone.

Your wife doesn’t have iPad? A Mac? If she has she will have Apple ID and she can definitely track AirTags you’re sharing on browser on her Android.

Interesting! Okay, she doesn't have any Apple devices but I think she has an iCloud account, or can get one.

How do I "share" the tag with her iCloud account?

You have to invite her. Since she doesn’t have any Apple hardware I guess she has to accept it on browser(?)

I’m like 99% sure I saw a video by Eric from ModernDayReviews/ModernDayTech/TrackThis‘N’That where he tested the maximum and it was 32. I can’t pinpoint the exact video though. He’s got a lot between those three YouTube channels. I know it was a few months ago that I saw it.

Funny though, I always thought it was 16 and was surprised when he tested up to 32.
I added 32 on my iphone 13 but on my iphone 7 it only allowed me to add 16.

Important notice. It doesnt work for my sharing it with my ios 14 iphone as « it is not eligible » wtf ?

I can't share with an iPhone 14 Pro MAX and iPhone 13 Pro both on iOS 17 PB3... Any ideas?
I'm having the same issue with the latest release on both phones. I'm guessing this feature just isn't live yet in beta? Anyone else confirm they have been able to make this work?

Two iPhone Pro phones with iOS 17. Try to share and every one I try is “not eligible”. Any ideas?
I see that also; family share a list? or have the correct email? just a thought. I have an air tag on my daughter and try to say the same thing.

Maybe is that person up to iOS 17 yet? That could be it! her 16.6.1 so that could be it. They (Each) iPhone must be up to iOS 17

I have two phones with iOS17 and when I share airtag there is no notification on the other phone. I don't think it works well yet.

Edit: this may be related to the other phone belonging to a child. I read somewhere that child's airtags cannot be shared for some "clever" reason and it probably doesn't work the other way either *sigh*

I can confirm it does not work the other way either.

Thanks for bumping this... an iOS17 feature I had forgotten and haven't seen mentioned in all of the recent iOS17 hype.

Just shared two tags from my device to my better half. I wont know if it went through for sure until I get home, but they did move down to a new section " Items I Shared" so it appears to be working... at least from my end.

When I tried to share an AirTag with my son, the status said "Not Shared". Clicking on his name said an unexpected error occurred. I was able to fix the problem by removing the share, turning off Screen Time Communications & Privacy then sharing the AirTag again. Immediately after sharing, I was able to turn Communications & Privacy back on. He was able to add the AirTag to his phone and track it.

I have reported this to Apple so hopefully it will be fixed in an upcoming iOS release.

Interesting. I can share the airtag without any errors, but there is no notification on the child's phone at all and the share status stays in "pending" invitation.

I'll try disabling the screen time and see if that helps.

Yeah it’s been fixed for about a day now. It seems that Apple did some adjustments because I can actually add AirTags now to anything.

I don't recall a notification on my son's phone but when I went to Find My, there was a link to add the shared AirTag.

Does not work for me. And apart from on this site, I cannot find anything about this problem. Not eligible etc etc.
