May 7th event, probably new iPads since I see a Apple pencil in the logo. I would therefore guess 17.5 public probably the week of May 13th.

I’d say RC immediately after the event and public release on 5/9 ( day before likely iPad public availability)

I'd have expected the public availability to be the following week. Don't they need time to seed those review units? Maybe that doesn't happen with iPads though -- it's been so long since Apple's released one I've kind of forgotten how they do that.

That would fit with Beta 3 today, beta 4 on the 30th, RC on May 7th. It's been guessed that some 17.4.x build would be used for the new iPads at manufacturing.

From all accounts, the iPads have been delayed by more than a month. I don’t think they’re going to wait any longer than they absolutely need to to get them on the market.

I could be wrong but think the RC comes out next week
Wouldn't surprise me if they were just stockpiling them until they got enough ready for launch, they probably ship with some version of 17.4.1 which was insinuated by Gurman.

Okay, with the keynote announcement, and the fast pace of the last betas, I guess we can expect iOS 17.5 for May 7th? Maybe a RC for that day and a release a week after, May 14th…

according to Zollo he seemed pretty confident
I can see RC going live on the 7th and final by the 13th with new iPads being delivered on the 17th, though they could also say pre-order on the 7th for delivery on the 10th, but that doesn't really fit into their update strategy since they usually release finals on a Monday.

Comparison of beta 3 to beta 2 still shows safari, system FW, and Darwin kernel versions still changing. I use MacOS as a baseline, but the Safari and Darwin kernel versions are the usually the same or very close in IOS. Thats why I expect a beta 4.

He may have connections, but I wouldn’t bet on them being deep rooted behind the scenes at Apple. He makes educated guesses like many of us on here do. He is using history and data from prior releases to make videos that have educated guesses. It would be like me putting out a video saying that 17.5 RC is coming after the May 7th event. Do I have knowledge, absolutely not, none what so ever. But I can make an educated guess based on what Apple has done in the past.
