18.1, alongside macOS 15.1 and all the other .1s, likely won’t launch until mid to late October.
Probably alongside in October event.
Betas for 18.1 for all of the other devices are more than likely coming down the pike, I assume with Beta 3.
Could be right. That’s a long time for betas. Godspeed to everyone beta testing 18.1 until October if that is the case.

Seems nuts to me that when the 16s release they will have to put into the beta to get AI.

Done a restart?
Yes I did, multiple times. However, on my Mac Studio, I just switched the region to US and checked that my language is set to English US and I got into the waitlist. Must be something on the Phone and the iPad that causes the restriction...

No one in the EU is going to get this now. That’s been said over and over again. Hopefully soon but not now.
Yeah but there are people getting it to work just changing the region etc, not working here. That is why I ask, cause I see people getting it to work.

I asked it how much a dollar amount would be worth by 2040 if it increased 5% each year, and it couldn't answer it. Pretty standard query for generative AI standards.

Agh little research - most of the writing tools need chat gpt like drafting etc. so not here. Still not seeing smart replies in Mail or messages though

I’m based in the UK, all I had to do was change the Siri language to English (US), change the Device Language to English (US) and Region to United States. You still can use and access the UK App Store, to make things a bit more British (if you will), in the Language & Region, change the Measurement System to UK, the First day of the Week to Monday and the date format to 19/8/24 or any format you choose.

Hope this helps.

Compose a document, select it, and then choose writing tools from the contextual menu.

I used it for this message!
Only from going through the menu though, not popping up on the side? As in you have to scroll through the arrow choices and select writing tools?
