Photos app is still busted: randomly zooms in and out, can't access video player controls without zooming out, impossible to determine the scrubber location because it's bright white against bright grey, random closures due to swiping just a hair too far upward, and that super obnoxious change from sliding left to go back, to having to streeeeetch your finger to the top corner to tap that tiny X. And the horrific UI they took from Home where it wastes space showing you a few things but you have to tap to get what you actually want, or scroll horizontally which is just miserable on these vertically-oriented devices.

Only available in the USA.
I’m in the US. I have it available in the big square connectivity box but I don’t have the standalone toggle. I can also get the demo to work when I try it out. Just was curious if others are missing this button or not.

After updating my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 18.1, during a call and its Dynamic Island animation, the clock on the upper corner doesn’t show up anymore.
This happens only in calls, in other circumstances it is like it used to.
Already tried hard resetting the iPhone.
Anyone else?

Very disappointed that the Slideshow functionality that we once had has not been added back to the Photos app. The inability to turn off the zoom transition, to adjust speed, and to disable music is a travesty.

This is because there is too much information to convey in the limited space for a button/toggle.

There’s no ‘new look’ Siri on my 16 pro max, just the old round graphic at bottom of screen. The clean up tool in photos is the only thing I’ve noticed since the update.

The global satellite network is only available in the USA? That's the most Tim Apple thing I've ever heard!

The original commenter was talking about a Satellite Toggle in Control Center. FYI:

Emergency SOS via satellite is available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K., and the U.S.

Phone call recording will be a disaster. Anyone tells you they’re recording the call outside of a customer service call your next move is to hang up. Nothing good will come of this.
Disaster? That’s precisely what I would want them to do hang up and never call back

If it’s the cops on the other line it gives me a firm basis to stand my ground while keeping them busta’s at bay ever heard of good cop bad cop? I definitely want their lies and deception on tape so I can knock the legs right out from under the prosecutor in court

For those of you who are inexperienced it’s called “reasonable doubt” and “exculpatory evidence”

In America it doesn’t matter who you are we are all guilty until proven innocent

How many people have fell prey to their ex wives in a game of he said she said

Meaning exactly what?

Icons disappearing when you move other icons.
Sheets appearing randomly on screen when you open/close an unrelated sheet.
Failure to place icons and they disappear.
Placeholder spots becoming inactive/unusuable when you move things (often the top corners get stuck).
The reorder icons in group menu orders placement as 13245768 order instead of 12345678.

The whole thing is a total mess.
