No, far from it, I use a 14 Pro Max
There’s a few generations between the earliest iPhone models on iOS 18 and the iPhone 14.

I also have an iPhone 14PM and for me, iOS 18 didn’t change the operating characteristics.of the phone.

The phone didn’t get slower. SOT was about the same from previous iOS releases. Battery life is about the same as well.

In appleland when discussing their anecdotal experieces with hardware and services I know a YMMV has to be added.

since 18.0 safari’s “listen to page” feature has been broken, and every point release has failed to fix it. it works fine for a day or two, then it just doesn’t read you the page anymore, and not even restarting safari fixes it, you gotta restart the phone.

i’ve tried it on an iphone that supports apple intelligence and one that doesn’t, to try to rule out if it’s somehow related, with and without airpods, and got the same results

The whole iOS 18.x experience feels like a beta and something expected from a startup with breathtaking new features.

Should be a very small update with only bug fixes. Expecting it this month. No other changes for now till 18.4 is released.

I have the perception that iOS 18 is the worst and buggiest software Apple has released since I have iPhone (iOS 9). And 18.3 is still horrible (in an iPhone 16pro max).
Wow, for me the worst was iOS 11. I remember when I updated from iOS 10 to 11 on the strongest Apple device of that time: iPad Pro 10.5, and the animations were so laggy that ProMotion became useless.

Not going to install it. Not going to install any other version of iOS 18. They had their chance
Unfortunately they're going to keep nagging you until you do. As there's still no apparent way to turn off 'do you want to update to 18.3 now, or later messages'
