Umm, it's a security update.

And for details, here's the list, it's in the story.
No, they are not security updates, they are full “second number” releases (18.x and 15.x). They fix things, they add features. The detailed list of fixes, as usual, doesn’t exist. The only list available is vulnerabilities, and the only reason it’s available is because vulnerabilities scare users, fear triggers behavior that otherwise would not take place, and the fastest users update, the better business for Apple (supporting older versions cost them money).

They don’t publish the detailed list of real fixes because that’s the trend.

Good to hear that many vulnerabilities were fixed. Will be updating all my devices soon. Good to see that the older devices are also getting the security updates.

Had my first crash and restart after updating today on my 16 ProMax. Updated apps after software update.

Meanwhile my Touches got a rare iOS (still 15 btw) update. Slight flaw in your logic I'd say.

Anything a couple (or more) of OS's back is a good additional barometer for me for how serious any given vuln is. I updated everything immediately.

The update is not available on my MacBook Air M3 just yet. This makes me angsty!

Hope I can UPDATE tomorrow:rolleyes:

Good night lads. Lots of love!
There is usually a delay for Macs. Not sure why. I rebooted 2 hours after the release and then I was able to download.

A.I. so far not bad at all. I expected a lot worse. Maybe US fellas beta-tested well for us in EU, thanks folks 🙏

Even Siri is at least on par for what it has been before AI. It does reminders, it knows what current month is, and can even do basic requests like turning things on and off.

But a large (6.15 GB) lengthy download and traveling, I'm only a few miles from The City. And on M1 MB Air over wifi from mountaintop dish connection, it's taking a while. But no dropped connection, iPad and iPhone whizzed through.

iOS 18.4 breaks CalDAV in the Calendar app when the @ sign is used in the user name (ie. "user@domain.com").

Since 18.4 the username is sent to the CalDAV server as user%40domain.com or something like that instead of user@domain.com as in previous iOS releases.

Somebody on reddit spoke to Apple and the issue now seems filed under case id 102565021690 with apple.

Why oh why did I update??? I normally wait few a few weeks/months.
