My iPhone 16 Pro on iOS 18.5 has been overheating pretty regularly now while just doing regular non intensive things, which before the update were no issue.

My iPhone 15pro has too and has screen flickering randomly as well.

I Keep getting this “feature” just DFU restored and set up as new yesterday. Wake up and the “feature” is back. My keyboard keeps freezing 16PM

My iPhone 16 Plus has been nothing but a buggy LAGGY mess on this iOS version on my vacation. Constant typing freezes, hiccups and just sluggishness. Camera not launching, swiping not registering, phone needing to cool off, etc. First time I’m so disappointed with an iOS version.

iOS 26 hopefully fixes this mess.

Are you talking about iOS 18 in general or 18.5 in particular?

My iPad Pro just completely crashed to a black screen and 10 seconds later restarted with the Apple logo under 18.5. I’ve never seen that before.

Sometimes when I do a force reboot, it takes tooooo long to wake up and show the apple logo, sometimes is just like I turned off the iPhone then I press the button for turn on and the logo shows itself

Just wondering as it’s been a couple of weeks or so now, are people still having issues with iMessages syncing across their devices? Or has that somehow resolved itself?

I still have iMessage sync issues. Hopefully they will fix it soon

I'm cautious, see below.

As long as you don't recognize or stumble upon a bug, everything is fine.
But once you encounter a show stopping bug, there is absolutely no way to get back to the status quo, I'm now safely using - thanks to Apples signing policies...o_O

When i got my latest iPhone, i wanted to setup the new phone with Quickstart - thereby making the new phone the current phone. But Quickstart required me to update the new phone to iOS 17, which was way to early at that time and bricked my new device and i had to wait until 17.0.2, when finally a safe Quickstart without bricking the new device was possible. Then i struggled nearly to the end of iOS 17 to get the normal reliable function from my daily driver, i was used to under iOS 16. You can be sure, i never ever again want this update race to get my fully functional phone back - then I'll better skip an update, than to have a non functional device for daily driver. I need my phone to earn money, not testing half baked software for completeness...

Software quality @Apple has gone down the drain lately - unfortunately...

When you have issues as you describe, do you Erase All Content and Settings, and start over as new?
