One thing I have noticed and I’ve reported to Apple in the past, is that my 16 Pro used to get noticeably warm when editing photos in the app and draining battery.

Editing some photos from today and it’s nowhere near as warm as it has been since using iOS 18.6 from the early betas.

On top of this, placebo or not this version feels even more polished! Everything just appears to be smoother and faster on my 16 Pro.

Plugged in my Apple 30w charger this morning and it’s barely getting warm.

Have yet to come across the random keyboard lag.

As has been stated further up in here, 18.6.1 is 4 builds newer. Apple have definitely tweaked 18.6.1 and not just added the blood oxygen feature.

Battery drain also seems improved with zero idle drain after over 2 hours off the charger and 55 mins of screen on time. Usually down to around 95% by this time. 16 Pro.

Definitely more than just activating the blood oxygen feature! 👌🏻😀
I set this phone up for battery life because I mainly game and watch shows on this 16PM, I don’t use any sensors or save any health data on this one. I do get hundreds of camera notifications and real time email push plus random notifications but 1% drain after two hours is impressive. If I let email push only every hour and silence camera notifications and turned off most location services, put low power mode on when not in use or outside daily I’m gonna see this weekend how the battery drain is.

It’ll be interesting to see how the battery life goes after a few days as it usually takes a good few days to settle down after installing, indexing etc.

I just finished gaming for a solid 2h24m and the phone isn’t overheated and nowhere near as hot as it should be.
