I’ve long since given up on the photos app and storing anything in it.

Whenever I have time, the photos I want to keep, I select them and save them to the files app. From there I’m able to use exiftool on my Mac to properly batch rename the files, and copy them over to my various backup locations.

Then I delete everything off the phone and I start fresh.

Whatever experience Apple is trying to offer in their Photos App is useless to me.

Is there a way to see all of your albums? Without all of the other crap? Can memories and stuff still be turned off?
And if not, is there a good app that just lets you see albums that you’ve created?

What happens with photos you sync from your Mac, where do these go? Is there still the “from your Mac” section somewhere in the new Photos version?

I dump EVERYTHING onto my computer (ambiguous that one) and sort into proper folders. The Photos App is a hoarders house right before they suffocate because there is only 10 inches up to the ceiling and there’s dead cats everywhere…somewhere
