Because I am trading in my iPhone 12 256 GB. The phone is going to be wiped clean anyway as part of the trade in.
Bologna! Google has terminated dozens of useful products, features and apps over the years. Way more than any other tech company I can think of.

And? Your database, configurations etc of cloud and applications settings will have been nicely updated already. It’s not like you have to put any effort in it. LOL if you’ve configured yours securely it would automatically update with you barely noticing it.

The support window for these devices shows how truly forward-thinking the designers were when creating the A-series chips.
I expect M-Series support on Macs to be no different.

Ok so I'm curious.
The OS is released on the 16th. In the first weekend Apple sold 37 million iPhones. Those phones will arrive on people's doors with iOS 18 preinstalled. HOW!?
Ok of course Apple would have had access to the final version of iOS 18 a bit sooner, but no more then 1-2 weeks. So how do they put the final release of iOS on all those phones in such a short time? Is there a huge special transmitter in the warehouse turning them on and flashing everything in the box? Or is the turn around time from factory floor to doorstep THAT short?

Been there excited then.. But learned my lesson on release day updates.. As a primary device I will wait for 18.01 or what comes it way. I just am way to reliant on the automation of my phone such as lights/gate etc to worry if the update will work or not. Might update the iPad.. I don't see the reason nothing really seemed excited or new.
I have 18 PB RC on both iPhone 13PM and M1 iPad Pro 11, and just waiting for PB 18.1 so I can try some of the AI stuff on my iPad.
18 is now officially out and O2 UK hasn’t enabled RCS Thought we were in luck with a carrier update but 59.1 hasn’t enabled it

I was told as part of the trade in I need to at minimum turn off Find My on the phone. They suggested wiping the phone if it's possible.
True, btw how do operators bill rcs as data or as sms ( that is the rcs theirs users their gateways not googles)?
I should’ve, but I’ll replace the whole phone with a 16 Pro Max 🙂
13 Pro Max battery life has a so much better battery life for sure. The Mini’s were bad since day one which is exactly why I’ll upgrade to iPhone 16 Pro Max.
