I’d love to see 18.2 RC drop today but I honestly think it’s just wishful thinking at this point. Don’t see it happening as Tuesday and Wednesday were the most likely days for it to drop and that didn’t happen

I’m hoping for a release today. I’m thinking possibly either 18.2 RC, or maybe even public release of 18.2. Maybe also an iOS 18.3 beta, but chances are probably lower for that today.

It’s happened before. With such a long wait for a new beta, maybe they’ve decided to bypass the RC and go straight to public release. This has been an off-year so far. It’s been much harder to predict based off past trends this year because Apple has seemed to changed things up with it’s beta release patterns.

Another trend (not guarantee) is that a Safari technology preview releases normally the night before a beta, RC, etc. This might be a good sign for today still.

All the beta logging eats battery life, and that's pretty permanent if it's overheating, draining quicker, and there is a need to charge more - I think a lot of us are waiting for an OS that can last the day, especially with all the AI use which is more of a hit on the battery.

This. The beta logging and telemetry is also inherently unstable. That’s why I am very patiently awaiting an RC

Something told me it was coming on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as well but nothing came. Pure speculation with no substance at this point. Gurman’s prediction was of no help either as it proved to be speculative and inaccurate
