I don’t understand how adding an extra tap is an improvement.
Agreed. Also Im wondering if the password section is still in the settings app OR if its all in the new password app. Id rather keep everything under settings instead of having passwords in a new separate app. Cuz then it would just be another app taking up storage on my phone.

The flashlight controls must be hardware specific. Don't have it on my 13 PM.
The LED flash is different between the models. I upgraded from a 13PM to 15P and it was something I noticed at the store. The compare page notes "True Tone flash with Slow Sync" and newer "Adaptive True Tone flash", I can't say I noticed a difference between flashlight and camera flash performance.

Passwords is still there for some settings but with a quick link to the app to view the password

Credit Card autofill still separate under Safari settings as before.

No I think that snapshot is referring to the PASSWORD APP (thats why its under the app section in settings). In ios 18 they moved all the apps to its own section in the settings. So the way Im reading your snapshot it looks like the passwords app is under settings. WHEREAS before the passwords were in settings. SO IM WONDERING if the passwords section is still under settings.

Can't find the Power Button in the article photos but I'd really like if it long-pressed to offer a RESTART option. On those rare occasions you need to restart your phone it's usually an emergency and figuring out when it has actually powered down and can be powered up again is like a guessing game.

I‘d love the flashlight to be color-adjustable to make it warmer. I hate that blue color.
Me too. I tried to find an app just for that.

Wonder how the breadth works. Are there different lenses built in?

Those circles look very android like. Much prefer the rounded squares we have now.

M4 only. The calculations that need to be done to control the flashlight so precisely is like enabling calculator on iPad. It is super sophisticated.

I think it definitely is for the models that have the Dynamic Island so iPhone 14 Pro and up as u can see on the image seems like when the flashlight is on the Dynamic Island has expanded.

All passwords are now in the standalone app, and under settings there is now just what you see in my screenshot

Same on my 13. 14 has it. Looking forward to 16 Pro this autumn!
I’m right-handed but keep my phone in the left pocket and keys/knife in the right. I didn’t even realize this was a thing.
I'm right-handed, but maintain cardholder and keys in right, mobile left pocket.

Yeah I was wondering about that. How can they actually change the beam shape in software alone? They must have a different LED arrangement on the newer models.

The flash module itself is formed of multiple LEDs. The software is just turning certain ones on and off to adjust the beam.

Did AirPlay disappear from the redesigned control center?
I had guests over last night to take a look at my videos from my recent Alaska trip and AirPlay is gone…

Yeah that's what I mean. I wonder if newer models have a different arrangement that would make this work. Actually changing the beam angle seems like something it would have to be designed to do, with different LEDs actually pointing in different directions, since there doesn't seem to be any way to focus the beam.
