The stock iOS apps have just steadily improved so much over the years. Notes and Reminders especially stand out. They both started off super bare bones and now have all kinds of really powerful features.

The one core stock app that seems like it's been left out in the cold is Contacts. I hope it sees some love at some point.

Is the new calculator app working correctly? For example: 1 divided by 9 = 0.11111111 then multiply by 9 = 0.99999999
I think I should get 1 as my final answer not 0.99999999. Other calculator apps give me 1 as my final answer.
Correct calculation matters to Tim Cook only when it comes to counting Apple's profits.

I've been using MailMate to replace mail. It's not necessarily "pretty" but ver powerful. Apple seems to prefer a simple pretty GUI for many apps over more power; such as no RPN in the calculator, to keep the apps easy to use for teh casual user. Which is fine as it allows developers to fill the void.

Definitely a bug, and it would do more good to use Feedback Assistant to send that to Apple than just posting about it here. It's a beta, after all, the entire point of it is to get public feedback. 😉

It’s doing the correct calculation based on the number in f decimal points

Can it be set to Reverse Polish Notation (RPN)? I've gotten used that inputting format from the HP days. I do have an HP41 calculator app on my iPad and iPhone.

RPN Mode has been available in Calculator on iOS and macOS for years as far as I know.

OOPS! It's only on macOS. I just checked iOS and iPadOS and I can't find a way to turn it on.

didn't we used to get the percentage calculated shown when calculating percentages in the app?

Example: 100 + 10% would already show that the resulting percentage calculated in this case was 10.
You would get (I think) 100 + 10% = a line with 10 and then the result 110.
Now it just shows you 100 + 10% = 110.

For easy numbers this is fine but for complex numbers you have to do a additional steps and subtract the original number from the result to show the calculated percentage.

Complex example:

(European formatting - sorry my American friends ;)).

374.829+37,9847% = 517.206,671163 -> then I have to do "- 374.829" = 142.377,671163 to find how much the percentage calculated as a number was.
But if you type the "-/minus" your original calculation input is then removed and you have to look up the number again on your paper or something or go to the history to look it up and memorize it. (or am I doing something wrong)?

This is very inefficient.
Oh and I know that on your casio 100 - 10% is not the same because Apple does interpretations of this calculation for you. (100 - 10% = 99,9)
