Anything is better than, "You did it! You have 1 hour towards your Stand Goal!!"

The current coaching feature acts as if that is a serious milestone.
For some people it is.
Hey Siri, what's my heart rate

Siri: Sorry, can you say that again?

what's my heart rate

Siri is horrible- in fact, I avoid it because it is so unreliable. Apple should just scrap it and start over again.

And iOs 27.4 will (in select markets) be able to open a time warp portal to allow users to go back time and retake bad photos.

We used to be excited about a major X.0 release in the fall every year, but it looks like we should start conditioning ourselves on being excited about a X.4 release in early Spring...

Maybe this at least means they're being honest about their shipping dates. I would prefer they say "we worked to make the .0 release as bug-free and stable as possible, and we will be steadily rolling out features as they are ready over the coming year."

As opposed to the way they do it now where they rush the initial release and slowly patch it over the year and add features as they're mostly done anyway.

Now if only the mandates app I have to use as part of weight management for work were integrated. It can send glucose that’s about it and can read from health, nutrition they require me to use a scale and blood pressure reader connected direct to it so if I want to track in health I either need to manually add it or need to use a different device. Pisses me off.

I developed an app like this and think vision-based food tracking is the future since it drastically lowers the barrier to tracking your intake, at 90% of he accuracy of weighing ingredients.

The models are also drastically improving - I was using OpenAI’s o3 for nutrition coaching but after the new Gemini Pro 2.5 came out our last week I’ve been experimenting with it and it does an even more exceptional job - and it’ll only get better from here.

This is mine, and I’m excited to see what Apple brings to the table: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/feast-ai-nutritionist/id6740829087

AI coaching?
Thanks, NO thanks.

Even the current "coaching" is so bad where it is just trying to make me change my weekly move goal every single bloody week.
I cannot imagine how VIKI from I, Robot trying to tell me how to live.

How can we trust Apple's projected release? "New coaching feature coming soon" ..... in summer of 2026
There's nothing to trust. You believe the rumors or not. If you are making an important purchase decision on some future release, I personally would go along as if that future release wouldn't happen on time or at all.

I'd rather have Apple release this feature in a x.4 update than a x.0 update that is incredibly buggy and still beta.

And please, yes, bring us a macOS version. You were supposed to offer a real ecosystem.

Food tracking would be huge. I find MyFitness Pal to be inaccurate sometimes and it takes so long to edit nutrient data. If we could scan the table with the camera and have it autofill or something that would be so easy.
My Macros+
Has camera and barcode scanning. It’s not perfect but still faster.

Apple AI. Who in their right mind would want medical advice from useless siri?

Siri: Hi, I have noticed your heart-rate has been really high.
Dummy: is that bad?
Siri: No! It means you have been working out a lot. Good job! No need to see a doctor
Dummy: *grabs chest and fall to the floor dead*

How long did it take you to think this up? 10 hours or so? Get a grip.
