I keep forgetting we can record 3D/Spatial videos now. I don't even know how to turn the option on.
You rock. So many features like this hidden behind a long press, and if nobody tells you, you’ll never know they are there.Hold down the ⚡️ icon for a moment and then make your selection.
A highly underrated feature of the AVP is immersive viewing of panoramas taken on the iPhone going back to 2011 IIRC. While panoramas are static and 2-d, it hardly matters, as they're (1) immersive; (2) you likely have many panoramas older than 10 years; and (3) 3-d doesn't matter at all for distant objects.I keep forgetting we can record 3D/Spatial videos now. I don't even know how to turn the option on.
There’s manual focusing? Just touch the screen on what you want the camera focus on.And I bet it still won't have manual focussing or shutter overrides.
At least we can get rid of the default lock screen buttons now. That's cool.
Now let me disable camera access while the phone is locked.
Thanks.
One should learn from failure. Not be inspired by it.inspired by visionOS
Yep. I think we all saw it coming. It will look really good on an iPhone.I said it at the launch of AVP, the future of Apple UI’s are going to head in that direction over time.
I did not know that! Thank you!Hold down the ⚡️ icon for a moment and then make your selection.
Whenever I see AVP, I think of Alien Versus Predator! 😄I said it at the launch of AVP, the future of Apple UI’s are going to head in that direction over time.
Wow. I did not realize the not off quick option was “auto” not “on”. That’s crazy and super unintuitive. That weird tray thing I have NEVER used ever (didn’t know it existed until this comment) and seems terrible. A swipe control at the top of the screen to bring up options at the bottom??? Why?JUST PLEASE GOD BRING THE PERMANENT ON FLASH TOGGLE BACK TO THE TOP LEFT OFF/AUTO FLASH TOGGLE!!
Top left flash icon used to toggle between Auto/On/Off.
Now its just Auto/Off.
So when i need flash ON, i have to swipe up to get the tray, which sometimes triggers exposure.
Nightmare
The whole point of third party apps is they provide more advanced features the built in apps lack. It's not a new UI which the customers want. Just give all the functions like the third party apps do.
That's still considered automatic focusing, DSLR and mirrorless cameras have similar features where you can specify the focus target on the touch screen. Manual focusing means the camera does nothing automatically, you have to turn the focus dial on the lens until what you want comes into focus (or use a slider in the case of a smartphone). There’s manual focusing? Just touch the screen on what you want the camera focus on.
