I don’t have the redraw problem, but then I’m using an iPhone 13 so maybe that’s the difference. Speaking of which, is today’s update not available for older iPhones. As I am not seeing it.

What is app redraw ? When it flashes the app icon?

I believe it’s this (see icons on the right when I swipe on to page 2), when using clear or tinted icons. (This is from 26.1 beta 1.)

I’d seen it much worse on earlier 26.0 betas, it used to do it on every page every single time when swiping back or forward between them.

I have the update on my 13

Edit to add that at the moment I have beta updates disabled and am also not running a beta version. Could be relevant for you not seeing the update.

Both my Air and 17 Pro are running really warm after this update. Hope it’s just the indexing and background processes. And hope it finishes soon. Especially noticeable on the Air camera plateau. Quite toasty.

Why don’t you just force restart? There’s not much indexing going for a point release.

Yeah I got something similar without tinted. Overall there's a lot of flashings and redraw which is pretty painful for my poor eyes

I updated with the Apple Devices for Windows program, and it didn't heat up at all during the process. A little while later, it cooled down, and it's still like that. Try updating with the ipsw file. There may be a background process that isn't stopping.

I don't understand why, after completing the update and restarting the iPhone to use it, it went to a slowly moving bar with the Apple logo. I finally let it go, it finished, and all the data was intact. However, you might expect this kind of behavior from a program like 3utools, but not from Apple's official one. By the way, it doesn't save the version changelog, while iTunes does.

Any improvements on Air’s speaker? When it’s max volume, there is no cracking sound anymore. Can someone confirm?

The same as before for me: can still hear crackling sound on 26.0.1, if volume > 50-60%. Did someone already reported this problem to Apple?
