My "Recently Added" albums are still not showing up in the Music App when connected to CarPlay. I'm having to actually open up my iPhone Screen and go to the Music App so that I can play any of the Recently Added albums to my library. Sucks.

I am sure this has already been talked about and I have missed it, but, does anyone have this issue of a white line at the bottom of the lockscreen? It appears randomly.

Wow, these phones are getting warm just texting, something is up for me with this update (or just ios 26 in general).

Considering trying ios 26.1 Beta 1 to see if the warmth goes away cause it's starting to annoy me.

As I did with the iOS 26.0 release I’ll give it a week to make final judgement. My battery performance after iOS 26 update was abysmal. 5-6 days in and it was back to iOS 18 levels of battery performance on my 15Pro.
This is probably my problem. I’m very impatient and I’m not used to this increase in heat and battery loss for the first week like many of you are reporting. When I feel my phone getting so hot doing nothing it really bugs me and I went nuclear twice now and restored from backup on my Mac. Still getting heating. I’ve never had this before. Should’ve listened to my gut and not updated from 18.7. But I’ll report back in a week. I’m going to get a new battery next week too. But I don’t want iOS 26 to nuke my new battery either! Hope this sorts itself out!

What iPhone is this on? 17 Pro Max? I would like to also know if other owners are also getting this heat since updating to 26.0.1? Been holding it off ever since seen your comment about it lol.

Yeah the heat is insane. My phone 14 pro has never been so hot until iOS 26.

This is happening to me on both the Air and the 17 Pro, so it's not a particular model in my case. Really bothering me. I don't know what's going on. It's like these spikes of warmth that come and go, but even doing basic things like texting, quite annoying.

Still getting CarPlay issues (pixelation) on my wife's Air.

For me: 16 pro max with ios26 is ok wireless CarPlay on my wife’s car.

My 17 pro max I’m getting constant wireless CarPlay disconnects on my car. It’s fine with wired. It was fine with a 16pm on iOS 26.

So something to do with the new hardware.

The update did not fix it.

I don’t have issues on home or office wifi.

Some people will say it’s indexing and to give it a week. And others say there phone is fine. I wish apple would come out and say something about the random heating. They said in the support document “temporary battery and thermal performance” is expected after an update but what is the timeline of this?

I must be lucky as I haven’t had heat issues before! I would certainly hold off on the new battery for now. Prior to iOS updates I always close down all background apps. Once installed I usually do at least one maybe 2 hard reboots within 24 hours. Don’t know if this has helped but that’s my habit. Oh and give it a week before judging battery performance 😉

Haven't heard of anyone else having this issue. Is it from your wallpaper? Do you need to crop the bottom edge?

It does that randomly no matter which wallpaper I select. It goes away when I unlock the phone/lock it again and does not come back again for some time. It then appears again randomly at some time. Like, for example, my phone is on the lock-screen right now and that line is not there.

I'm not having any overheating issues on my iPhone 17 Pro, but I updated with the ipsw file. You could try downloading it and updating at least one of the phones and see if the overheating stops.

Another thing to note - both my Air and 17 Pro are scorching hot after this update. Waiting for them to cool down, had to put them on top of the air purifier vent so that wind can cool them off, never had a phone get this hot before.
My air stayed cool to the touch. Why do some phones do this and others don’t. I don’t get it.
