It is fixed in iOS 26.1 beta 1Anyone else having this insane flickering when activating keyboard in safari? Luckily I’m not epileptic 😜 but it’s definitely very annoying to look at.

I’m still getting cellular dropouts on 26.01, so that issue isn’t fixed for me. I’m using the base 17 on visible.
I don't see anything like that on my iPhone 16 Pro.Anyone else having this insane flickering when activating keyboard in safari? Luckily I’m not epileptic 😜 but it’s definitely very annoying to look at.

Interesting! Not a single person I know has these issues. Tried reinstalling your OS from scratch?Just updated.
This is far worse than it was before.
Most apps are now freezing. Even safari.
Lock screen is a mess, face id doesn’t work.
What a joke
I am still having dropouts on wired CarPlay iPhone 17 Pro. Reported.I’m still getting cellular dropouts on 26.01, so that issue isn’t fixed for me. I’m using the base 17 on visible.
This is probably my problem. I’m very impatient and I’m not used to this increase in heat and battery loss for the first week like many of you are reporting. When I feel my phone getting so hot doing nothing it really bugs me and I went nuclear twice now and restored from backup on my Mac. Still getting heating. I’ve never had this before. Should’ve listened to my gut and not updated from 18.7. But I’ll report back in a week. I’m going to get a new battery next week too. But I don’t want iOS 26 to nuke my new battery either! Hope this sorts itself out!As I did with the iOS 26.0 release I’ll give it a week to make final judgement. My battery performance after iOS 26 update was abysmal. 5-6 days in and it was back to iOS 18 levels of battery performance on my 15Pro.
Wow, these phones are getting warm just texting, something is up for me with this update (or just ios 26 in general).
Considering trying ios 26.1 Beta 1 to see if the warmth goes away cause it's starting to annoy me.
Yeah the heat is insane. My phone 14 pro has never been so hot until iOS 26.Wow, these phones are getting warm just texting, something is up for me with this update (or just ios 26 in general).

This is happening to me on both the Air and the 17 Pro, so it's not a particular model in my case. Really bothering me. I don't know what's going on. It's like these spikes of warmth that come and go, but even doing basic things like texting, quite annoying. What iPhone is this on? 17 Pro Max? I would like to also know if other owners are also getting this heat since updating to 26.0.1? Been holding it off ever since seen your comment about it lol.
Still getting CarPlay issues (pixelation) on my wife's Air.
Some people will say it’s indexing and to give it a week. And others say there phone is fine. I wish apple would come out and say something about the random heating. They said in the support document “temporary battery and thermal performance” is expected after an update but what is the timeline of this? This is happening to me on both the Air and the 17 Pro, so it's not a particular model in my case. Really bothering me. I don't know what's going on. It's like these spikes of warmth that come and go, but even doing basic things like texting, quite annoying.
Haven't heard of anyone else having this issue. Is it from your wallpaper? Do you need to crop the bottom edge?I am sure this has already been talked about and I have missed it, but, does anyone have this issue of a white line at the bottom of the lockscreen? It appears randomly.

I must be lucky as I haven’t had heat issues before! I would certainly hold off on the new battery for now. Prior to iOS updates I always close down all background apps. Once installed I usually do at least one maybe 2 hard reboots within 24 hours. Don’t know if this has helped but that’s my habit. Oh and give it a week before judging battery performance 😉This is probably my problem. I’m very impatient and I’m not used to this increase in heat and battery loss for the first week like many of you are reporting. Must be a case by case. Never understood how some people have issues and others don't. Its the same exact software on each phone.lol, none of the visual bugs I've experienced since beta 7, including the app tinting were fixed, tsk tsk...

I'm not having any overheating issues on my iPhone 17 Pro, but I updated with the ipsw file. You could try downloading it and updating at least one of the phones and see if the overheating stops. This is happening to me on both the Air and the 17 Pro, so it's not a particular model in my case. Really bothering me. I don't know what's going on. It's like these spikes of warmth that come and go, but even doing basic things like texting, quite annoying.
Because you don’t have issues. Random iPhones do and it’s something I’ll never understand as we all have the exact same iOS 26 installed.Tried to recreate the WiFi drop on my 17PM and after about a dozen tries still not dropping
Yay
My air stayed cool to the touch. Why do some phones do this and others don’t. I don’t get it.Another thing to note - both my Air and 17 Pro are scorching hot after this update. Waiting for them to cool down, had to put them on top of the air purifier vent so that wind can cool them off, never had a phone get this hot before.
Seems like random iPhones have this issue which I don’t understand as we all have the same iOS installed. Does Apple just pick certain iPhones and install bugs in them before shipping.lol, none of the visual bugs I've experienced since beta 7, including the app tinting were fixed, tsk tsk...
