iOS 26.1 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

This toolbar transition glitch looks fixed for me in Mail and Voice Memos.

I have many other visual glitches in the mail app on my iPhone 17 Pro but not this one.

Folders text is left aligned too now

The more I see it, the more it makes sense. If your someone who makes a folder with a super long name,, it won't be as big of an issue.

Probably at least for now, an unpopular opinion:
I like the left centered stuff. It makes sense, doesn’t look bad and I’m happy that they implement it in many more areas, since it was active just in a very few parts of the OS.

Agreed. Centering everything is the modern Comic Sans 😁. Glad it's going away.

Showing spatial but it’s on a stereo only song.. and changing the setting doesn’t nothing. Only when actually listening to a song in Atmos. Weird behavior. Anyone else experiencing this?

This version feels very smooth overall in ways I can’t fully describe. Also, the Dynamic Island is visibly less glitchy. I hope they keep improving at this pace.

I did. 16 pro. It’s only been a couple of hours, but it does seem smoother. No issues with WiFi. Hoping for better battery life, but still too early to tell.

I did too. 17 Pro Max. So far everything is working good. No issues.

Yes. Have been happening since beta 4/5 or something.

Half the time, I click the power button, ask siri to do something, and it just sits there with the ring of light around the screen, as if it is continuing to listen to me, even though I've stopped talking and it is otherwise relatively quiet in the room. Doesn't happen every time, but happens roughly 50% of the time.

Private Relay or a VPN can cause that behavior

It’s likely too early to tell, but for me this is smooth, like the beta before the Golden Master that horked up performance.

Yes, that's a problem! You have to set the screen timeout to Never, plug your iPhone into the charger, and then do the following: Open the Photos app, select up to 10,000 photos and videos, click the Share icon, then click Export Originals. This will take a while, but you'll be able to download your media very quickly. Once this process is complete, the Files app will appear. Close it and continue with the next 10,000, and so on. This trick applies to "Download and Keep Originals."

Sound like a good use case for a shortcut. I made one to download my music library when it got ghosted on my device.

What was I supposed to see, it’s working for me. It did have a weird stretch on changing orientation, but only for a second.

Well it stopped flashing colors for me but when in portrait and full screen, tapping the map does nothing

It's hard to tell from the Release Notes weather this includes the fixes in the 26.0.1 release. I'd hate to take a step backwards with the Wifi stability.

I thought the wifi instability was just me.

Have you tried restarting IG, or rebooting entirely? I'm getting IG audio without issue.

Now I’m not getting sound on Apple Music. Airplay or speaker.

Well Instagram on mute was short lived, a restart resolved it.
