This is said with just about every iOS release. IMHO, it’s actually quite good. Some cosmetic issues sure, and it’s a BETA, but performance, crashes, etc, not bad.

Hey guys, do you reccomend updating from 26.01 ? 17 Pro Max here.
26.1 B2 is blazing fast on my 17 Pro, Geekbench for reference even though it doesn’t mean much.
They have never been anything but sharp like all the other icons on my 17 Pro Max. So from my point of view, they look perfect. Don’t know if that helps though

Can someone with good eyes tell me if the pinstripes in the Calendar and Reminders widgets have been smoothed out or still there? (in dark mode. they look fine as clear or tinted)

I know what you mean but the apps aren't actually blurry unless you've had some kind of bug. Because of the added shadow and highlight to very small elements they can appear blurry from a distance. So to answer your question I believe they will look the same as before. Apple should know better than to add finer details to very small things
My iPhone 13 is running great very smooth. My only complaint is battery Life took a pretty good hit starting with beta 1 and still the same with beta 2. Barely lasts a day now, whereas before I had power to spare at bedtime. Oh well, not complaining really, just commenting my observations. C’est la vie.
I had the same thing on iP16. Finally went back to 26.0 because of it. Getting maybe 1/2 of what it was getting and no apparent reason or any heat etc. Was thinking of trying again but perhaps I will hold off until more data comes in. On 26.0.1 since yesterday so seeing how it goes vs 26.0. Thanks for info.

26.1 beta 2 feels great on iPhone Air. Battery seems like it’s doing very well today, and no noticeable lag or stutters. We’re finally getting to a better place stability wise, so they need to start focusing on all these visual bugs that still exist.
Both are off. Not even running a custom DNS server (used to run AdGuard DNS settings on my router). Any other ideas?
It’s wild that a smartphone OS update is now the equivalent of 30 CDs.

It’s hard to hold out with all the nice stuff I read about the 26.1 betas to not install it on the 17 pro.
On my 13 it also runs really fine.

It's all fluff. I'll be stoked when old Siri is gone. As long as it's truly contextually aware and can do what the commercials promised. Fingers crossed for 26.4.
