I agree. The fundamental problem is that Tim Apple isn't a product person. He doesn't understand design or really how to marry engineering and design. He belongs in the supply chain room counting widgets. It won’t helpIt’s a realy bad design from the beginning.
For better battery life remember to turn off Wi-Fi if away from usable Wi-Fi networks for a while (and you don't need the enhanced location accuracy). It's even easy to access in Control Center.

Some people on Reddit the other day were guessing that even in tinted/disabled mode, Liquid Glass effects were still being rendered and then just masked after-the-fact. Meaning the visibility, for those who needed it disabled, is helped, but there was no compute savings from it.
Yeah, it’s like 5-10 more battery for a lot of menial tasks. Adds up fastPeople...
We are talking about Vista or Compiz/Beryl/Compiz Fusion like effects...we are talking about pre 2010 effects.
Do you seriously think that these effects have ANY performance impact on even 1st gen Iphone SE? And let's not even talk about fresh Iphones or Ipads.
If the graphics pipeline isn't horribly broken then both the new and old shouldn't have any noticeable impact. You have a supercomputer in your pocket, not a early 2000s Pentium II with 32 MB of RAM and Voodoo 2 almost exploding with a Windows XP and fancy Luna effects.
You honestly don't need tests to know glass or other graphical nothingburders use almost zero % of compute power considering how much of it is available.
