Things I have that are still not fixed even in this beta

1. random screen dimming on 15pro

2. iMessage photos do not all show in photo tab. A lot of photos completely missing and blank white squares in photo tab

3. A symbol spinning at the top of a safari page on opening a new page

4. New in this beta is some text replacement I created have disappeared

Anyone else?
I have the Messages Photo issue… but the missing photos are few and far between.

Guys I am a bit confused from all these comments.
Is it safe to update or should I wait a couple of betas?
Are the bugs unbearable?
That seems to be a question to ask yourself… a beta is never “safe to install” and you could wind up with an issue that no one else is seeing or something that drives you mad but others only find a mere annoyance…

Make a solid backup, ensure you know how to restore to it properly and roll the dice my friend…

Personally, if I could do it, I’d go back to ios 18. Far, far fewer issues, especially on my M5 iPad Pro ( I upgraded form a previous iPad Pro ). 26.0 caused a number of issues but 26.1 really messed things up, primarily in Safari. 26.2 has fixed nothing.

I would argue that general release of some versions of iOS (and other operating systems) would not be "safe to install". Many production releases carry inherent bugs that are problematic for some/many.

Put on your big boy chonies and evaluate your tolerance for issues and your ability to recover (fall back to a "stable" release). It's called "the bleeding edge" for a reason.

Yes, that's where I told him to look. iOS uses the term "stack" for widgets. That's where I was confused, ask there is no "row". And he had previously confirmed that all three stacks are configured with widgets - but only the first stack is displayed.

Also, I do not have a ZOOM setting in my CarPlay settings app (on the car). Haven't had one ever in my Bronco Sport with SYNC4. No ZOOM option at all - as a top level menu or in the Appearance menu,

One more issue that has been this way since iOS 26.0 betas, is that CarPlay does not announce/read my incoming text messages.
announce is in the vehicles CarPlay settings. If you dont have these options with ios26, then it's your vehicle that is the issue not iOS. Understand that even though your iPhone has the primary CarPlay software, it relies on the vehicles hardware and updates to support it. Id check to see if Ford has an update available for your vehicle

"stack" is not widgets. Widgets are called "Widgets" in CarPlay and iOS..."Stacks" are a vertical row of widgets

NOTE: The CarPlay Settings App is INSIDE CARPLAY:

These are screenshots of the "Settings" app inside CarPlay. It has the same icon as your settings app on your iPhone, but it is exclusive to CarPlay settings.

1- Display options- this is where you find Zoom (NOTE: You need to scroll down in each settings screen to see more)
2- Announce options
3- The previous menu options screen that leads you to "Announce" settings (again, you need to scroll down to see this)
4- Announce settings here. (leads to screen in image 2)

I understand how it works (or how it's supposed to work).

Clearly there are differences. I've attached the relevant screenshots from my CarPlay settings. Not sure if it's a limitation with Ford's SYNC4 implementation or what, but I do not have the same sub-options. Curious what vehicle you are driving/referencing.

There is NO "Announce Options" option. And there is NO "Smart Display Zoom" toggle. My screen is 13.2" and provides 2 x 5 icon layout.

I am on iOS 26.2B1 and Ford SYNC4 (Software Version: 25017_PRODUCT, Revision: 1591)

Just noticed after a restart that the send button next to the “X” when composing an email is greyed out. Normally on my iPad it would be a bright blue. The button is functioning just its appearance is wrong. On my phone on iOS 26.1 that button remains grey until I’ve filled in the Subject and started typing in the body of the email. On the iPad on 26.2 it remains grey no matter what I do.

must be a limitation imposed by Fords current software or hardware. Ive had all these options since the first beta of iOS 26...currently on ios26.2 b1 (2025 Hyundai Tuscon). Have you checked to see if Ford has an update?

Yeah, SYNC4 updates are random. System says it's current (check for update returns "up to date"). Will have to compare/check the settings on my wife's '25 Kia K5 when she get home this evening.

Far easier….pinch with any two fingers/thumbs. All tabs on view. Works in compact view, bottom and top view. Quickest method. Nothing to complain of here.
This isn’t new, but also not an option when you’re using the phone one-handed (unless you use your nose or something).

I just want a toggle to turn off accelerometer effects such as the animated highlights around the icons/dock and the parallax effect on the Home Screen. Is that too much to ask?
Reduce Motion does that, but also changes other animation behavior.

yes, but there is a 2nd settings app in CarPlay itself...its in there.

Yes we are both aware of those settings. That is what we were referring to. He had no smart zoom and I was asking if he was also missing the announcement option since he is not getting those announcements.
