I don’t think Apple will ever offer something like that…When you can turn off Liquid Glass entirely, then I'll move from iOS 18.

Okay, nothing related to this thread then. When you can turn off Liquid Glass entirely, then I'll move from iOS 18.
Reduce Transparency is (supposed to be) that.I don’t think Apple will ever offer something like that…
I’ve tried the reduced transparency which is visually similar to ios18 but it’s really glitchy.Reduce Transparency is (supposed to be) that.
I know others have pointed out how Reduce Transparency in iOS 26 is just adding opaque layers to obfuscate the still-there glassy elements; while that very well could still be the case many of the visual niggles wherein the layers appeared to intermesh from before 26.1 seem fixed, so there’s that![]()
Swipe up from the address bar hahaWhoever "re-designed" Safari and the process of opening up all tabs is an.. em I allowed to use profanities on this forum?😟
Why the heck have they now hidden the meny bar where we previously could on an instant press on the "tabs" symbol and have all the tabs?!
Now I have to press three dots, and then "all tabs". Making easy flowing processes into several steps of tapping is brain dead to me...
Same when I highlight something like a text on a site and want to do a search. You now will get a wall of alternative like dictionary, Siri, and then you have to scroll all the way down to get to "Search web" What the actual frick?!
Is there any work arounds for these issues?
Your second "issue" doesnt really seem like an issue as this has been tweaked in every beta release. RE Ford Ranger- It scales to fit the screen, and its highly unlikely he got 3 rows on a 12" vertical display unless your talking about the very first beta which had 4 on my screen. But if he is only seeing the clock, it sounds like he needs to go into his settings and select more options. Ive had three rows for the paste several betas including 26.2...and dont have any issues at all with latest update.A couple of CarPlay issues:
- The CarPlay screenshot thing is broken. Regardless of the setting, it does not capture the CarPlay screen as a separate image.
- A buddy has a Ford Ranger with SYNC4A (vertical 12" screen). Prior to 26.2B1 he got 3 widgets - clock on top and two more side-by-side below that. Now he only gets one (the clock). My Ford Bronco with SYNC4 (horizontal 12.3" screen) still gets three widgets. My wife's Kia (horizontal 12" screen) now gets three widgets - up from 2 on 26.1.
Not sure I understand what you're saying about the Ranger (3 rows?) - I was talking about widget stacks. I have attached a photo that he sent showing the "before".Your second "issue" doesnt really seem like an issue as this has been tweaked in every beta release. NOTE: There are two separate areas in settings that effect the display...one is a "zoom" option, and the other allows you to select the content in each individual row.
Regarding screen capture...no issues on my end either. Have you tried restarting your phone?

Eh, mine (a 17 Pro Max) has been updating normally over-the-air as far as i can recall, across 26.1 betas/RC/final as well as this 26.2 beta.Odd..... with this update as well as the update to 26.1, after the "verifying update" step, the phone simply turned off.... or at least appeared to. Tapping the screen or the power button did not do anything. Had to long press the power button to get it to turn on and finish the update. Anyone else?

With regard to the screen capture, yes, I have restarted my phone.
It's all just Apple being Apple.

So excited when I stumbled upon this!!3 widgets are back in CarPlay. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I assume you mean stacks...3 widget stacks have been available ever since the 2nd beta of ios26, the first beta had 4...see my post above. any variation is due to your vehicles screen size, the settings in CarPlay on iphone and the option in your zoom setting in vehicles CarPlay screenSo excited when I stumbled upon this!!
yes, its all relative to the screen size. You must have a small displayThis is what mine looks like seeing. Does this mean I only get one stack? I’m not seeing any way to add more.

15PM & 16P all OTA updates normal for me. AT&T internet over optical connection. About 10 minutes per device total but this time is a SWAG.Odd..... with this update as well as the update to 26.1, after the "verifying update" step, the phone simply turned off.... or at least appeared to. Yes, that's where I told him to look. iOS uses the term "stack" for widgets. That's where I was confused, ask there is no "row". And he had previously confirmed that all three stacks are configured with widgets - but only the first stack is displayed. The widgets are defined in your iPhone settings. On your iPhone, go to Settings/General/Carplay and select your vehicle in "My Car"....then select Widgets. Here you define the widgets in Stacks...if he has nothing defined in Stack 2 and Stack 3, then he will only see one stack. Ive experienced a reset of these stacks when updating a few times, so he probably just needs to setup stack 2 and stack 3 again.
He should also look at the "zoom" setting in the CarPlay interface on the car...there is a Apple Settings icon, click that and try the zoom option.
Is there an announce setting in the CarPlay settings app? Or maybe its missing too?Yes, that's where I told him to look. iOS uses the term "stack" for widgets. Also, I do not have a ZOOM setting in my CarPlay settings app (on the car). Haven't had one ever in my Bronco Sport with SYNC4. No ZOOM option at all - as a top level menu or in the Appearance menu,
I updated a few hours ago as I am curious about this. My 17PM seems to be kicking down to 5Ge in my home which I had not seen on my 13PM in my home in years. I hope the new firmware hangs on to 5G and 5G+ more. So far so good.I’ll say, I’m getting way better speeds on 5g since 26.2 beta 1 yesterday. The modem firmware update and the carrier update definitely fixed something.
You can turn announce on or off when you are in the car in car play settings. It’s not in car play settings on my phoneIs there an announce setting in the CarPlay settings app? Or maybe its missing too?
I have only been using the beta for a few hours but seems fine on my iPad Air M3 and 17PM. Looks like if you have an Air or 16e phone you will have to wait.Guys I am a bit confused from all these comments.
Is it safe to update or should I wait a couple of betas?
Are the bugs unbearable?
Yeah, it's there and it's on. Just a bit of strangeness throughout. Is there an announce setting in the CarPlay settings app? Or maybe its missing too?
