Will Music finally show lyrics for purchased tracks without having a streaming subscription? Makes no sense that those who actually purchase get a far worse experience.

Will the battery life on my 16 Pro Max go back to what it was in September. Used mine fully charged to play music for an hour yesterday. Down to 49% by 5pm with almost no use.
Nope on the current iOS

The picture that goes with "Liquid Glass Slider on Lock Screen" really does show how bad Liquid Glass is. Fine, when wearing the goggles you need to see through the text to not walk into the lamp post, but on a screen you can't see through anyway it just hurts your eyes desperately hoping for enough contrast to read the text.

Or RC3 drops in a few hours haha. I heard there were CarPlay/bluetooth problems.
Any additional optimization/revisions would most likely be released as an updated final build with no further proceeding betas. I sure hope something changes over RC2 in the final release, as a week is a long time for additional fixes to be added for a company the size of Apple and iOS 26 is a bug filled mess.

I’ve been running the RC for a week. Alarms for reminders is going to change my life. Even just a live activity for them is amazing. It needs some tweaks, like shortcuts support, but it’s super helpful for me.

anyone else notice that if you have bluetooth automations in the 26.2 rc they sometimes refuse to work? this is a new issue and hopefully fixed too.

is there a way to get rid of the huge “recently saved bookmarks” thing in safari? i just want to get to my bookmark list without having to do an extra scroll just to get past it. not sure who was asking for this “feature“ 😂

Apple needs to fix the bug with Notes. When I go into a Note, *sometimes* the text jumps (scrolls very fast) up and down and makes it unusable. Then I have to exit that Note and go back into it, and then the erratic behavior goes away. Surely I'm not the only one who has encountered this?!

I would update to RC 2 but I don't want to put the phone through the stress of an update if there's nothing worthwhile for me in the update. I can keep RC 1 until the release of the public version.

You can report it to the engineers.

It does not.🙂
Yes it does. I now have to click the three buttons next to the search bar, then select all tabs, then swipe away.

In iOS18, the tabs icon was not hidden behind the three dots.

The stupid rounded corners on the interface actually take AVAILABLE space away, necessitating the nesting of functions.

That drove me nuts too, the good news is, you can turn off compact tabs and go back to the old way under settings/apps/safari and scroll down to tabs. Change it from "Compact" to "Bottom".

IMHO this OS is less elegant than the last, but I don't really care that much.

My biggest gripes are that in Safari closing tabs takes more steps, and that the Music App STILL DOESN'T WORK IN LANDSCAPE.
You can add the bottom corner tab button back in Safari settings.

And then you have to deal with not being able to see text properly when replying in these forums, because there’s a bug Apple haven’t yet bothered to fix where that setting introduces a white overlay to forms.

Here's hoping soon, and here's really hoping they fix up some of the worst Safari bugs moving the bar to the bottom (which absolutely breaks fancy ads on MR [and others] that mess up the UI so badly)

Hoping they fix the annoying thing in the Files app (iOS) where it presents you with "preview" each time you look at an image. Also, Drafts freezes on iPad after awhile. Also, lots of other freezes in Apple Music and various other places. I never had this bad stuff with my iPhone 15 Pro (max) and 18. If I had known it would be this bad, I would never have gotten a new phone and updated to 26. Also I have had to help my geezer buddy "How can I get to by able to read the clock numbers on the lock screen again, don't they test these on old people at all?" Mee- YOW! 🍸🙀

Or just swipe the adressbar upwards?🙂
