This is ongoing. I forget when it started. But it has not been fixed yet in PB3. Weather app shows my city... and nothing else. A relaunch of the app or even switching to another app and coming back to Weather fixes it.

I get this sometimes on the non-beta iOS 26.2 and earlier, and fairly frequently on macOS 26.2. My problem seems to stem from location services getting borked and then running around in the weeds. ("Where are we?" "Not sure! Ignore the crystal-clear GPS signal and keep running around in that field!")

Going into Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services, then toggling Location Services off then on again usually fixes the problem. (I'm guessing that effectively restarts the locationd daemon…)

Phone isn't getting as hot anymore and another positive change is that it seems to have freed up 40 GB when I constantly was low on space due to System Data is down to 1 GB. It's too good to be true.

CAUTION ⚠️
Check your shortcuts. I had almost 100 and now only 19 are left, the rest is just gone, GONE!
I spend years to get the shortcuts I use to work the way I need them to, and now they are gone, only some that I never used remain.

Have you performed a force restart?

1) Press and quickly release the volume up button
2) Press and quickly release the volume down button
3) Press and hold the side button (ignore slide to power off)
4) When the Apple logo appears, release the side button

are they on your other devices? if yes, then icloud sync should eventually sync them back.

Is this beta running well ?
Yes, for me, on my 17 Pro. My subjective perception is that it's a bit better than beta 2, but that could be placebo. Anyway, I think it's safe to install for most people, provided you back up your phone onto a computer in case something goes wrong and you want to go back. I think that's pretty unlikely, though.

When you now do a screenshot (with the small preview enabled) and click on the preview… then choose „save to gallery“ or „copy and delete“, the animations now are so smooth. Not sure if this is totally related to beta 3 but it’s really nice :)

Be careful with that, as if they were deleted from one device, the deletes will sync to all others. Best is to disable network access from another device, use it to duplicate all shortcuts then re-connect.

In future, run this shortcut regularly to back them all up:

The auto-lock/screen lock bug where the display won't go to sleep without pressing the power button is still there... it works as it should occasionally but not always.

Looks like the press to hold to change wallpaper in the lock screen is pretty wonky in this release. Works on restart but stops working after a point of time. doesn't do anything on press and hold. A restart fixes it temporarily but quickly goes back to the issue.

Running into online transaction using Apple Pay where it not only isn’t showing what card is being used there is no ability to swap cards in transaction. Even though I have a few in the wallet, only the default is accessed.

Had this last beta but confirmed it is also on beta 3.
