I'll second this. My M1 iPad Pro has gone from juddering every time you summon the app library to 100% smooth animations. Battery seems better as well. They seem to finally be getting the bugs out and making it as slick as was promised.
Actually, from what I’ve read, this 26.4.1 update didn’t address any security vulnerability and they focused on bug fixes. Apparently they were more than the iCloud sync one.

17 Max Pro updated to 26.4.1 yesterday, find out this morning resting puls data in healt app is out of control, the curve goes up to 298BPM, the update has infected all the measuring all the way back from start, years…. Look likes a Sinus Curve.

Today I updated my Apple Watch Ultra II to the newest OS, restarted watch and iphone 4-5 times, unpair and repair, NOTHING WORKS.

Reading the comments I'm not sure whether they optimised this release more for older devices but on my iPhone 17 Pro 26.4 and 26.4.1 are the worst from every 26.x I used.
I didn't use 26.0 and 26.1 so can't tell about these but geez it's so laggy and stuttery.
26.3 was way better even though it wasn't perfect at all.

On 26.4.1 I'm seeing stuttering literally almost all the time on Home Screen, jittery scrolling in every app especially when I scroll slowly, unlocking the phone and swiping to the other page in Home Screen makes the animation literally not to trigger, hangs for a second and it "jumps" to the other page.
Today when I wanted to pay with Apple Pay, after pressing side button twice, the credit card's slide down animation rendered in idk 3fps maybe, instead of sliding down smoothly it stuttered like crazy.

Restarting the phone fixes some of it for few hours and then it comes back, but jittery and jumping scrolling is all the time unfortunately.
Really bad release for me. I hope 26.5 fixes it.

This has been the best 26.x so far for my 12 mini, and also the watch too. It's been about a week since I installed it (so not the reboot effect) and things are smoother generally. It does drop fps in some animations, which I think would annoy some, but the function is there.

If i use my camera while locked from the lock screen, sometimes the camera just freezes until i unlock the phone. Im pretty sure this started with 26.4 on my 17 Pro

i can't search anything on my ipad. Spotlight/app library/settings/messages. No search is working at all. When you type, nothing happens. very annoying. hard restart doesnt work.

Noticed that when sending or replying to messages via Siri using my AirPods, it reads back what it heard as before… however it sends it immediately instead of waiting for a response. I’ve tried to select then deselect reply without confirmation in the Settings->Siri->Announce notifications without any change to behavior. Was fine before 26.4.1

Does the Default Calling App setting not work? Settings - FaceTime
No it doesn’t matter. Everything is set to cellular. There’s some threads on Reddit about it. It just started happening with the last two updates.

Basically to FaceTime anyone you need to start the call from the FaceTime app and not from your contacts list.

If I'm not using my phone for a while, Safari takes almost 30 seconds to load a webpage. After that, it works fine until I'm not using it for a while.

I paid with three different cards using Apple Pay this morning, and the transaction is only showing up on one of them. All three are Mastercard, so I don't know what Apple Pay uses to decide when to record the transaction in my wallet and when not. More than four hours have passed since the payment, and they still haven't appeared.
