Not a fan of where app Updates are now
hehe, you can blame me! I wrote Apple extensively on how when checking manual updates, the count indicator was obsured on both iPhone and iPad. I asked them for a redesign, where the new app update count would be easy to see. Viola!

Feels good that they heard me out =)

I'm grateful for it personally, but I may be in the miniority based on your post and the likes on it. Oh well, glad to see progress

Note that some of these may have been fixed in iOS 26.3. I tested using on 26.4 beta 1 and won't verify 26.3 - someone else can do that if they want.

I also only tested on my iPhone 16 Pro Max which is not my daily, so some of these may never have been issues for me.

Fixed (5)
• Apple Music Segmented Picker
• App Store Search Bar
• Apple Music Navigation Title Scroll (I mentioned this earlier in the thread)
• Contact Photo Bug
• Home Screen Widget Resolution

Remaining (3)
• Apple Music Tab Bar Symbol Size
• Navigation Title Alignment in Files
• Notifications

Other (3)
• Specular Highlight Reset: Could not test as I am not sure what you mean in your post
• Apple Music MiniPlayer: Could not test as this never affected me. Instead it just temporarily becomes solid before reverting back to glass
• Navigation Bar Back Button Outline: Not fixed, but I do believe this is intentional behavior
As far as the mini player goes, it’s fixed on 26.3 for me. It no longer goes solid while minimizing. It stays glass the whole time. Are you saying 26.4 reverted it back?

So my Siri is telling me it’s downloading additional data required nice seen some of you saying how much / how do you actually see how much it needs to download
It claims to have been downloading additional Siri data for over two hours, but when I check my router's system monitor, there is virtually no download activity. As a result, Siri is disabled and only the sphere appears, with the old Siri.

Anyone on iPad able to get the App Store account page to load?

Works perfectly for me, iPhone & iPad both

why have they made it harder to check app updates, I always check for them now its another step

I find the new approach to App Store updates refreshing! I'm grateful it's been updated.. the old design just didn't make design-sense to me. I sure hope other quality of life improvements come in time

For example, adding an address without auto-complete in Contacts is arcane. For years now, I add my going to Maps, finding the address then Adding to Existing Contact to make sure it's all filled in well. It makes sense to just access the same API as Maps from within Contacts, so the extra step wouldn't be needful (this is one example)

Historical beta release chart
Good review on YouTube about 26.4 B1 is available.

iPadOS app icon refractions are no longer excessively bright & fixed in the upper left and lower right corners. They’re now more subtle (like iOS) and they follow the same refractions as the dock glass borders. They now move like iOS.

It seems like in the music app, they made it more difficult to accidentally swipe to the next or previous song. You need to swipe completely across the screen, not just a quick flick.

Also, restoring as new helped bring Apple Intelligence back. I was stuck with the old Siri before with a message about it downloading. But eventually, it did sort itself out on my Mac. So maybe I just needed more patience.

Might be something else but when I tried changing my Siri language because Apple Intelligence was not working I got this message in Dutch saying "Voice control and personal content/context will no longer be available.". I think stembedienig is refering to "Hey Siri" and "Persoonlijke inhoud" is refering to Personal Context. When I try changing Siri language on my iPad Pro on 26.3 I don't get this message.

So my Siri is back to the new one and has finished downloading. I wonder if there is anything new?
Check how much memory Apple Intelligence is taking. Go to settings -> general -> storage -> iOS / iPadOS and see how many gigs Apple Intelligence is. It’s device dependent, so pls report you device and amount here 🙂
