iPhone Air - 3.93gb with AI off.
It got really warm. Reading 100.7F through the back of a Thinborne case 🫤

I’m hesitant to upgrade as I’m on the public beta and the battery life has been amazing. I remember a previous situation similar where one beta gave great battery and then the next was back to being crap.
I totally get your concern. The situation you describe, though, is more common with very early betas. Today's beta is probably the last one before the RC so is probably somewhat polished. Your battery life is less likely to drop than if you were upgrading from, say, beta 1 to beta 2.

But if you don't want to take a chance, wait a week for the RC. By then, there will be lots of reports of battery life under today's beta 4, which is useful information when deciding whether to upgrade, and in any event the RC's battery life is often as good as or better than the best battery life of any of the previous betas.

Good luck with your decision.

I still haven't found a reason to jump on this beta train. 26.4 and 26.5 feel like after thoughts even though they are the newest versions. I really hope iOS 27 is epic since again these feel forgotten.

It seems that this build continues to improve iCloud syncing. For the first time in a long, long time, my iCloud email read/unread notifications using the Apple Mail app are syncing across all my devices immediately.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's only updating immediately when the iPad and iPhone is connected to power. Once they're on battery, the badge doesn't immediately update.

The "tinted" keyboard remains blue for some reason.

Also in this version there are still no Liquid Glass sliders in the clock/alarm app. Pretty sure we won’t see this in the lifetime of iOS 26.

It's weird because if you press and hold the switch they get the glass effect, but it doesn't animate when you lift your finger. It's bizarre.

App icons still redraw after a reboot and after install. This was never an issue from what I recall pre-iOS 26 days. Wouldn’t a cache remember all this? Saw it happening on my iPhone 15 Pro and 17 Pro device.

As much as I partially like reading the stuff on this side, I always have the feeling that it’s made up from a lot of „trust me bro“. He takes nearly any small change he might to discover and interprets huge and important changes with even the smallest updates.
Not sure. Good entertainment but it’s been made bigger than it is.

Does anyone else have an issue where your devices are charging to only 80% despite having optimized battery charging disabled and charging limit of 100%? It’s happening on my Apple Watch and AirPods, but not iPhone.

My MacBook Air M2 does the opposite with latest MacOS beta: it‘s set to 80% charging limit but always charges to full 100% 🤪
