I’ve done it for a while now. It has helped cool the device down and removed the odd glitch for me so I do it out of habit now.

I say *need*, but they've never done it so I suspect it's more a "want" on my side 😁

Same. Always restart after an update. There are normally one or two minor issues after said updates for me, and a restart normally sorts them.
