Back in the pre-electronic days we didn't have electronics and we survived just fine, that doesn't mean I want to go back to those days. I like my Mac, I like my iPhone, and now I like my adjustable snooze...and I think I can survive just fine with these things too.Tyranny? Really? Back in the pre-electronic days an alarm clock rang just once, no snooze, no tyranny. We survived just fine.
PS. I think the word tyranny was intended as hyperbole. No one thinks a fixed snooze is the equivalent of Stalin crushing the kulaks, but being able to adjust the snooze is something that a lot of people have wanted for a long time (including me), seems relatively simply to produce from a coding standpoint, and Apple has been unwilling to provide for almost 20 years. Given these facts, a little hyperbole doesn't seem like that awful a thing.
