I was on wifi – cell service was disabled in fact (I switch it off automatically at home). It was heating up lots as well.were you streaming the video over cellular? Was the 16 pro heating up a lot?

Dang. High brightness? Indeed some heavy video streaming causes battery issues.I was on wifi – cell service was disabled in fact (I switch it off automatically at home). It was heating up lots as well.
give it 24 hours to stabilize, my 15 pro did drain a bit when it booted after installation, but its due to update finishing in background. On 26.1 public beta 4 with iPhone 16 Pro Max and noticing the battery % is going down very slow. But when I restart the device, the battery % drops lower. Not sure what’s going on.
The brightness is fairly high, but I don’t get the same battery drain with Netflix or iPlayer. Think I might just cancel Prime.Dang. High brightness? Indeed some heavy video streaming causes battery issues.
Heard iOS 26.1 beta 4 contains changes and features that interest me, so I’m going to update to it and transition off the public release for a bit. 🤏 will report back in a bit for battery life!
Yep. I did have to use freevee from prime video one time to watch a history movie for my history class. The brightness is fairly high, but I don’t get the same battery drain with Netflix or iPlayer. Think I might just cancel Prime.
Cycles? What about battery health? Actual %, not SOT.
No iPhone, but my iPad Pro 11 M4, not even a year, and since 26 have watched the health drop precipitously. Not even a year old and at 87%.
Seen some postings and vids where users are complaining about health.
