iOS 26 battery life thread.

Hopefully they can get it to be in the realm of iOS 18 for the 16 series.

Look at my expectations! But still, people have reported a 20% drop at least for the 16 series. That is massive. That never happens.

If they can get close to what iOS 18 gets, say, within 10% or better, it’ll be a significant win for people even if that would be abhorrent regardless.

All in for it 🙌👋🏻 I hope I don’t have to charge it too often
 
This is 26.1 - but phone random heats up. Dont know why. So far if you check the screenshots it looks good - but it doesn’t feel like the numbers.

Like 20-30% worse than 18.6

Thank goodness I’m steering clear of it. Saw its release notes didn’t have anything big of a change that warrants an update !
 
Maybe it still indexing but so far on my 16 pro max the battery life feel worse on 26.1 than 26.0.1 that was better than 26.0 as soon as I installed that one.

Yea wait 24 hours after update and report back. Imo it felt better than beta on my 15 pro btw.

Only day 1 for iOS 26.1 for me but I have noticed a marked improvement on battery life on my 15PM. I finished the day with 44% battery left and without needing to charge in the afternoon. The battery life was so bad I would frequently need to recharge in the late afternoon/early evening even with just light use, with the battery dropping very rapidly from about 50% charge to 10% inexplicably. During these drops my phone would heat up significantly even with very light use.

I’m glad it is good for you.

I just saw a battery life test online with 26.1, and the A15 devices still have terrible battery life. So I guess I’ll stay on 18.7 for a while…

Go ahead and don’t update cos iOS 18.7 is not signed anymore.

Which iPhone version and iOS 26.1 or 26.2 beta?
 
Battery life has been significantly worse since I’ve updated to iOS 26.1
I have an iPhone 17. In iOS 26 it easily lasted throughout the day and I only charge it up to 80%. At the end of the day, I still had 30-40% left.

This isn’t the case anymore. Yesterday I’ve charged it up to ~95% and in the end I only had ~20% left, with moderate usage.

Could this have to do with Apple Intelligence? Since 26.1 AI is available in Belgium.
