Ok, yeah you won’t notice the drop In performance and smoothness as your device doesn’t have a 120hz display.
It really is noticeable once you enable low power mode on a 120hz device.
Yeah, I don’t have a device with 120hz.

Also, the battery life difference is noticeable if you have default or “worse than default” settings (for battery life purposes I mean), according to many people.

And I’ve played games with LPM enabled and there’s no performance difference either, at least on the iOS versions that I run.

Nice one, what apps have been active for these 4 hours? 4 hours doesn't really tell that much, its what's been used that's important. If you've been active with intensive 3d gaming 4 hours can be amazing numbers (have seen 3d games kill a full charge in 3-4 hours) and for other apps it can be quite average or even bad.

But I guess more important, is it an improvement with you regular usage pattern compared to older iOS versions?

Yes, iOS 26.6 has brought improvements in battery life to my Air, and it’s very welcome! Along with smoother operation etc, so all good 👌🏻

I’m not too concerned about which apps are using the most battery, just as long as I’m getting half decent battery life from my usual daily phone usage, and 4 hours for around 50% from my Air’s 3149mAh isn’t too shabby.

Here’s the apps that I’ve been using the most today, I don’t do any intensive gaming.

I was on 4/5G until around 3pm, then mostly WiFi after that.

Nice to see the Air with some good numbers. Feels a bit like Air was released a bit to early and that Apple didn't have the time to optimize things properly. Hopefully the FoldPhone has been putting preasure on the developers to optimize code and that the Air will continue to improve with iOS 27.

Well, it’s taken then a long time to properly optimise iOS 26! I never quite felt like the Air was fully optimised to squeeze the most out of its smaller battery. I guess the Air is like half of a fold lol but a bit thicker… they’ve had plenty of time to work on the fold

I have high hopes for iOS 27! 🤞🏻

Just heading to bed… just over 6 hours of screen time from a little under 80% of the battery on my Air.
If I were to run it down to 0% (I never do) could maybe squeeze 7.5-8hrs of screen time.

Hello everyone, I keep losing 10% every night with everything disabled (cellular, wifi and background refresh)

Any idea on what could be causing the issue?

Got any BT peripherals that is active with the device? What apps/functions are on the top of the list when it comes to consuming battery in the battery setting?

I have an Apple Watch and an AirTag (which I unpaired today to see if it makes a difference) but this still happens even with BF off overnight

Top apps are Reddit, Safari and Whatsapp (I have background app refresh disabled)

Double check so that the BT is off, if you use Airplane mode it won't turn off BT.
Do you have the "always on" screen enabled (if your phone supports that)? It shouldn't consume that much battery but try turning it off (if enabled) to see if it makes any difference.

I have an automation that turns it off every time I activate sleep mode

AOD is off, if I don't find a solution I will have to reset the phone as set as new again, which is something I would really like to avoid
