Currently experiencing a bug in the Music app where every single album in my music library is displaying the wrong year in the “Artist” section…

The release dates for these albums are all one year off, and should be

2022
2021
2020
2018
2017
2016
2014

And the dates for these albums should be

2023
2018
2012
2009
2005
2002

So, for whatever reason, all of the dates are showing up as one year off from what they should be. When you tap on an album, the dates display correctly… so the bug only affects the way dates are displayed in the Artist section of your library. Signing out and back in doesn’t fix the issue. Again, this only pertains to the music in my library — the dates are correct on the actual Apple Music artist pages.

The album dates appear to show up completely fine on tvOS 18.5, macOS 15.5, and even the watchOS 26 beta.

I added an album to my library yesterday and the date appeared correct in the artist album view, so this just started happening over the last 18 hours and I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue or it’s just me…

Just checked and sure enough, I’m having the same issue.

It’s stuck between its light and dark mode versions. When this occasionally happens to me, I just pop into the “Customize” Home Screen option to send the apps into jiggle mode and then toggle the switch to make app icons large/small and that always fixes the issue.
Didn't seem to fix it.. interesting.. when it's in the folder in "small state" it is black, clicking on the folder and it's red.

Toggling the settings didn't help, nor did a reboot

Tried on my 2018 iPad Pro, basically unusable, incredibly laggy. Hopefully it improves otherwise I’m staying on iOS 18 which runs beautifully.

Interesting. My Home Screen was incredibly jittery. In apps was fine.
Maybe give it a day or two and reboot? I actually didn’t use mine for about 36 hours after initially installing, and then I came back to it and rebooted. It’s been great since.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but have any of you had issues with the screen jumping around in Notes? Particularly when you touch it for some reason? Like to edit text.

Beta 2 out now!

I may finally jump in. I have had experience with DEV betas before. The DB1 iOS releases for the past two years were pretty stable. I was on the fence about this one. I know DB2 can be worse, but I have had my trigger finger on the update button.

iOS 26 DB1 on my iPad has been working mostly great.

Awaiting initial impressions from those of you downloading and installing today.

Downloaded Beta 2 onto my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I skipped DB 1

First thing I noticed is that the phone is running warm.

Other than that, the phone seems to be very stable. I made a few phone calls, did some tweaks. No issues yet.

Is it saved as a Favorite? There seems to be in issue with those. I haven’t been able rearrange them, nor can I edit the name. For bookmarks in other folders, tap the 3 dots go to bookmarks at the top, find the bookmarks and long press for the menu, then tap edit
Weirdly, I am finding any new bookmarks cannot be edited. (If I directly add it as a Favorite from the iPadOS Share Menu, it can be edited. I haven’t tested on macOS yet.) All of my pre-iOS 26 bookmarks can be edited. Only new bookmarks are immutable. New bookmarks are behaving like Reading List items. The secondary menu on the bookmark gives the option to save for offline, but my preexisting (and editable) bookmarks do not present that option.
