Does the Face ID animation work for you for unlocking your iPhone? Face ID phone unlock works fine but I have no animation indicating Face ID is being used. It’s simply not there. Is that a bug or a feature?

Yes, I had this issue. It seems like either the service that serves up these pictures is down or the new code in beta two is not able to communicate with it. The only way to fix it is to assign a new poster.

if you go into individual contact, you will see their background to be black and if you try to add it, you will get a message. Something like asset is not available meaning that it cannot find the image that was used as a poster.

Thank you. Super aggravating. Weirdly enough, the poster pops up when they call though, executive though it’s black on their contact page.

Having the same issue, I filed a feedback on it (FB18314468). I tried removing and adding the faves back but it doesn't work.

Well, the home bar is still there, but now doesn’t appear until after you start to swipe up. I do like this approach better.

on my iPhone 13 pressing the power button on an incoming call sent it to voicemail. I generally prefer to press the volume up or down once to silence the ringer. Would that work for you?

Should be 1 press of power button to silence, two presses to send to voicemail.
It would not be unusual for them to change it without notice in betas - I have long requested beta versions of their knowledge base articles accessible to beta testers else we are working in the dark.

Another item I noticed, is that I can no longer silence incoming call. Used to be able to press power button and now it has no effect. Just keeps ringing.

I’m I missing something, does it have to do anything with live voicemail or something?

Volume button still silences the call without sending to voicemail.

They screwed me over with the beta 2. In beta 1 with the smart display zoom function in CarPlay I had two widget stacks on my screen which looked perfect. Now I have one giant widget in the middle with tons of wasted space and it looks utterly stupid and will never use widgets. Thanks Apple for ruining the only thing I was excited for in iOS 26…

Anyone having problems with only black boxes instead of photos for Favorites in the unified view of the Calls section? I’ve done a couple of restarts and still the same.

Anyone else getting very erratic connectivity on Wi-Fi and 5G? This has been going on ever since 18.5 beta on my 16 Pro Max, and it continues on 26 beta2. I can be happily connected and using the phone, and suddenly things requiring internet connectivity will just stop. This happens on Wi-Fi or 5G. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone or switch everything on and off again. Have reported to Apple

Reset Network Settings. I do this periodically especially in the beta process.

Exactly. Too many people here are clearly treating this as a final release when it’s absolutely nowhere near. Also it’s pretty obvious that many people are moaning on here but not actually filing any feedback.

No. Working well on 16pm, at least with regular WiFi ssid

However I have experimented with WiFi 7 MLO on my ubiquity u7 pro, and this sometimes ends up giving the results you describe.

Unsure whether it’s a UniFi bug or ios

Hi, have you also noted this issue with carplay? Element showing time to arrival and distance in Google maps in day mode is too transparent.

Just noticed Facebook have updated their app icon with the more glassy look compared to Apples icons, design asthetics are subjective but I personally like the more translucent appearance that FB have went with, don’t get me wrong the control center in beta 1 was horrific but since there’s nothing under app icons I think it works well here.

I’m glad you posted that. I created several threads here and on another forum that Assistive Touch isnt working. I’ve gotten no response, I was thinking no one uses Assistive Touch. I know it’s not working for taking screenshots, but I’m wondering if you assign another function to the virtual button does it work? Anyway, I did submit feedback with a sysdiagnose file that it wasn’t working.

They already have them all with black backgrounds so it's easy to do, just swap the black out for clear, and would be a good middle ground. I tried the glass look but just found it hard to find things, especially in App Library.

Restoring to iOS 18.

If you already had it on 18.5, I doubt it's beta-related. Sounds more like a hardware issue. You could have your phone checked by Apple.
