The Liquid Glass animations are way toned down with more linear animations and fades instead of the droplet animations in most cases. Transparency is also less than before. If they do even more, they can remove the Liquid Glass name entirely as we're back to iOS 18, lol.

They definitely tuned the glassyness down.

If you don’t scroll rather flat and “normal”

Not sure if I like it …
Hmmm…I suppose this is a pretty decent compromise!

I’ve been holding out on the beta, and will wait to see what beta 3 brings over the next day or so before jumping in but if that’s indeed the direction they are going, it seems like a smart way to appeal to as many people as possible.

Beta 3 is stuttering as hell on iPhone 13 Pro Max.

It is nearly unuseable.

Im going back to iOS18.
Give it a while to settle. It makes to sense to judge about this update only a few minutes after installing.
As a member of this forum you really should now this. Let the phone rest a bit and then check it again.

First impressions on beta 3

The UI seems more polished
The issues i noticed on beta 2 with lockscreen widgets seem addressed
The app icons seem to have also been tweaked (more darker and vivid)
On iPad there’s a lovely bug with the keyboard that cuts the top of the enter key. (Image attached)

These are my first impressions, I’ll post anything else I notice.

I’m not noticing that on my 16PM. Doesn’t look too much different, if at all. Scrap that I've noticed its much more toned down in this beta. Shame.
