just put the beta on my phone last night.

Messages keep showing up in my messages that are from a long time ago.

They don’t exist on any other device I have. Where are these messages coming from?

A bunch are showing up from October of last year. And a few from July of 2024

I delete them and they come back. I don’t get it.

The one chat had over 500 messages. I thought once you deleted texts, they were gone??

These messages were not here last night when I went to bed. I’m so confused.

Has anyone else been able to locate the "Recently Added" section in the Music App while in CarPlay?

And to think I thought beta 6 was ready for prime time… BETA 7?!?! Oh she READY ready.👏🏼
Icons refresh every time I switch from light to dark and the reverse. Heats up like crazy and slows when updating more than 1 app at a time. Spring board crashed this morning. But hey, might just be my 16 PM. IDK. Smooth other than those annoyances, but def doesn't seem ready for release.

I did on Settings. I'll keep searching. I wonder if this has been there all along and I'm just noticing it or if iOS 26 did it.
It’s new to iOS 26 and as I said, I love it and thankfully it will stay I guess, because it’s still in the beta at this late state… :)

Wow. I am honestly not seeing any of that. Of course, the icons change when switching between light, dark, clear, tinted, but it's more like a color overlay on the screen - the icons themselves are not redrawn or refreshed. I don't recall any springboard crashes and I haven't had any heat issues to speak of. I'm on a 16 Pro Max.

Anyone experiencing bugs with app icons? Specifically, when using dark mode icons: if an app is in a folder it will show the correct icon when the folder is open however, if you close the folder the app reverts back to the light mode icon. If I remove the app from the folder it works fine.
Seeing the same. Not all apps, just some.
Take a look at Utilities > HP Smart in attached.

I'm seeing a glitch with CarPlay. Back story: I have a new 2025 Ford Bronco Sport (SYNC4). This car has a 12.3" screen, and the widget screen gives me 3 stacks of widgets. My previous vehicle was a 2021 Ford Ranger (SYNC3) with a single stack on the widget screen.

The glitch has to do with scrolling off of the widget screen. I can swipe (R to L) to move to the dashboard screen, and subsequent swipes move me through the pages of icons. But when I am on the widget screen, pressing the square widget icon in the lower left does not take me to the dashboard screen - it does nothing. If I swipe off of the widget screen and then press the square widget icon, it works as expected.

Can anyone else confirm this behavior? At this point (with the new vehicle), I can't determine if it's an iOS 26 CarPlay issue or an issue with the SYNC4 software.

I’m also unsure if I am liking the updated safari. Two presses to get to all my open tabs instead of one.
Workaround.
When on any page, press and hold the "..." in the bottom-right corner; without lifting up, slide your finder 1-2mm to the "All Tabs" icon and release. Do it two or three times and it's a pretty quick & fluid motion.

Yeah, it's pretty bad for me. Has to be something I have installed that's messing with them, but never had the issue prior to 26. Even happens when unlocking the phone, but not as bad.

Yeah, that happens to me. Swiping screens gets them populating for me. Still they often cascade full on screen swipe. I assume it’s because I have a 13p 🤷🏻‍♂️

Two multi-year bugs that seem to be fixed with iPadOS 26 are:

Highlighting text in a PDF correctly displays the text action menu (Copy, Select All, Highlight, etc) in both Quick Look and the new Preview app. For years if you highlighted text in a PDF no menu appeared either immediately or when tapping the highlighted text.

In Safari, tapping the status bar (time, date, WiFi, battery%) at the top of the screen is supposed to scroll you quickly to the top of the webpage but this would stop working, seemingly at random after using a webpage for a while. Switching tabs to another webpage and back would fix this temporarily. In iPadOS 26 I’ve yet to experience this bug but I’m hesitant to say it’s completely fixed because previous OS updates would seemingly fix the bug for several days before returning.

Beta 7 battery life check-in.

15PM with 87% capacity after 388 cycles.

I was getting stellar battery life on iOS 18.6.1: nearly 1 hour of active use per 10% battery drain, or about 9 1/2 hours total.

Installed DB7 Monday when it released. Didn't bother looking at battery life for the first two days.

So far today: 3.5 hours screen active time, depleted 50% of battery charge, which extrapolates to 7 hours total. (with adaptive power turned on, btw)

This includes tracking a 30-minute bike ride in the workouts app. Prior to the ride, the ratio of active use per hour of battery depletion was a bit higher.

So, battery life okay but not great, even considering my phone is 2 years old.

But we're still in beta. In the past, my iPhones' battery performance improve an hour or so per full charge between the mid-August beta and the public release of the next big iOS version about 4 weeks later. I expect that'll be the same for iOS 26. If I can get 8.5 hours on a full charge I'll be happy, given my phone's age.

But this year it doesn't really matter for me. I'm gonna buy a 17P or PM as soon as they're available to order.
