I don't have mine on mute or silent, it's always on. I have no idea why anyone would not want to ever get calls. Kinda important.

I don't even know what's my current ringtone, but I do want to receive my calls and other necessary notifications. That why they buzz the watch on my wrist without announcing everything to everyone around me.

I just noticed this week that I hate a loud ring lmao. almost every ringtone are just too upbeat and fast. I use “TILT” now because that’s the most calm.

Did they do away with "old phone" in iOS 26? I hope not. It is called a phone for a reason and that is the ring tone that sounds like a "phone".
Checked it now: They didn't, it's still there. And I hear it a lot around, presumably because a lot of people choose it for the same reason: it's the only ringtone that sounds like an actual phone.

I wouldn't mind a more digital ringer that would be more appropriate to a mobile phone, rather than an old rotary phone. 🙂

For me, the iOS7 ringtone "Hillside" has come the closest to what I would consider a discreet mobile ringtone. Like I said, I'm missing some variety in this regard…

They need to update the original marimba and make it HD. I still use that one, haven't ever changed it since my iPhone 3GS in 2009.
Marimba seems to be making a comeback on TikTok if the sounds coming out of my wife’s phone while she’s doomscrolling are anything to go by. An HD refresh of it would be quite nice though.

Nice collection of ringtones. Like 5 out the 6. Currently I never change ringtone. It has been the same since I bought 15 Pro Max. Will be definitely changing my ringtones a lot once I update my device.

I have mine on silent all the time and have haptics set to morse code for important people who may call/text.

As a fan of both "The White Lotus" and "Only Murders In The Building," Little Bird fits both with that combination of mystery and whimsy.

Speaking for only myself of course, my always-silent phone situation is a "bad habit" leftover from bad financial decisions in my 20s leading to endless calls from creditors. I'm in a good place now though, but I've gotten used to vibrations and voicemails 😁

Hadn't thought of that possibility. Yes, that Ould annoy the heck out of me as well.

Apple Watch users usually silence their phones. Watch vibrated and I can see who’s calling. No need to bug everyone around me.

Hadn't thought about that; good point!

Morse code? That's even more old school than a ringtone!

I'm admittedly a nerd--though it has helped me learn some of the letters I didn't know 😂
