I don't have mine on mute or silent, it's always on. I have no idea why anyone would not want to ever get calls. Kinda important.

I don't even know what's my current ringtone, but I do want to receive my calls and other necessary notifications. That why they buzz the watch on my wrist without announcing everything to everyone around me.

I just noticed this week that I hate a loud ring lmao. almost every ringtone are just too upbeat and fast. I use “TILT” now because that’s the most calm.

Did they do away with "old phone" in iOS 26? I hope not. It is called a phone for a reason and that is the ring tone that sounds like a "phone".
Checked it now: They didn't, it's still there. And I hear it a lot around, presumably because a lot of people choose it for the same reason: it's the only ringtone that sounds like an actual phone.

I wouldn't mind a more digital ringer that would be more appropriate to a mobile phone, rather than an old rotary phone. 🙂

For me, the iOS7 ringtone "Hillside" has come the closest to what I would consider a discreet mobile ringtone. Like I said, I'm missing some variety in this regard…

They need to update the original marimba and make it HD. I still use that one, haven't ever changed it since my iPhone 3GS in 2009.
Marimba seems to be making a comeback on TikTok if the sounds coming out of my wife’s phone while she’s doomscrolling are anything to go by. An HD refresh of it would be quite nice though.
