If we take Gurman's information that the public beta will be released on Wednesday as true, I think it's feasible that Beta 4 will be released within a few hours. It won't be the first time this has happened, and this gives us a day's buffer in case there's a serious bug and we can prevent its release on the public beta channel.

It’s a bug in the software. So an update will fix this, it’s an issue many are having when space is freed up it automatically gets filled to the point the phone restarts due to lack of space.
If it weighed a few megabytes, it is beta 4. If it took up gigabytes, it is the RC.
Well, then it's the RC, because it always installs almost the entire system. There will be errors in the nomenclature, but although it's rare, it's possible.
I don't know, it's strange, I had this problem but unfortunately the updates didn't help
Give it an hour or two for those still hopeful.. past 3 pm ET if no beta then we’ll try again for tomorrow. It’s no later than Wednesday that’s for sure.
Your best bet is to do an iCloud backup and then restore from it. For me, I didn’t have any app data not saved in cloud that I cared to lose, so I did a complete restore of my phone and then redownloaded apps that I had

Well here in the Midwest it’s cloudy and drab. Pretty much with this beta not being here, it sets the tone for the day 🙃

There better be a beta before this weekend, and it had better restore Liquid Glass, have good battery life (pre-iOS 18.x), and they better restore Apple Music in CarPlay to go to now playing by default instead of this tOdAY screen or whatever.
I just checked, and last year Apple released the RC version of iOS 17.6 on July 23rd at 10:00 AM and the beta 4 of iOS 18 at 1:00 PM, Cupertino time of course. Why not dream that the same thing could happen this year? We'll see you in a few hours to find out, hehe.

It looks like DB4 tomorrow/the day after tomorrow and PB1 next Monday then - still in July, as they announced during the WWDC event.
