I don’t like round icons because they can roll off your screen.
hehe that’s a good one😁
Anyway iOS 18 I believe was meant to have the visionOS redesign but contrary to what people have said why it didn’t get it Apple Intelligence isn’t the reason.
The Real reason is the 7th Gen iPad. No way Apple will redesign iPadOS VisionOS Style for an A10 Device (and the last supported dual core device withnin the iPhone/iPad/Mac family because A10’s 4 cores don’t run at the same time) and because budget iPads besides the base OS they came out with have maximum 5 Major iPadOS Updates (which may change with the 9th Gen iPad) the 7th Gen iPad had to get iPadOS 18 against Apple’s wishes ( it should have been released with A12).
but definitely believe that iOS/iPadOS 19 will get this redesign with a device using an A12 or later.
Why because A12 is superior. And because we all know Apple will support the 8th Gen iPad with iPadOS 19 and that iPad is the last iDevice after 7th Gen iPad that came out with 32GB of storage. All other A12 and A12X devices were released with 64GB of storage
So that’s it. Too bad iPhone X users won’t get this update. A11 Bionic could easily handle a visionOS redesign. A10X
Maybe but like iOS 7’s redesign it’s all about the CPU ( hence why A12 is the minimum and Apple wouldn’t want to repeat iPhone 4 style when A4 SoC tolerated iOS 7.0 but was steering into iPhone 3G iOS 4.0 territory back then)
EDIT: I hope anyone can reply to this theory 😁
