I saw this one from Craig Grannell yesterday (with reduce motion and prefer cross-fade transitions enabled):
If you step through it frame by frame using the , and . keys it's just silly how many weird glitches are happening. Random black lines appearing and disappearing, drop shadows and button shapes snapping in and out, the buttons becoming massive circles that are clipped at the bottom, changes in transparency and blurring "wiping down" the button...
It's all these strange animation micro-glitches that make the whole OS feel shoddy. Much like when a TV is displaying a video in a slightly wrong aspect ratio, it's as though there are people who just don't see it and others who immediately notice it and can't stop noticing it. Unfortunately for me, I'm in the latter group. I don't even consider myself to be very "OCD" - it's just like: Really, Apple engineering managers? This is what you're shipping and thinking it meets the high standards of quality that Apple is supposedly renowned for? It's been 5 months since the public release and it's still so bad.
And I'm not against giving the OS a new visual style, but this is all just so sloppy.
Maybe it'll be better in another 7 months when iOS 27 ships 😅
