Creating a hyperlink, like copying a website, URL and pasting it to Apple notes select and create a hyperlink. Otherwise, we have to use work for other software. this would be a great condition.

I mean, come on my guy. You pull your grocery list up on your watch and check off each item you get as you shop...why would you make it more difficult?

Do you keep your calendar in Numbers...??
Are you telling me you don't write your documents in Keynote?! Why not, it has text boxes.

When I read such updates, all I think is: why haven't it been this way from the get go? We had to wait for something as primitive as Markdown support and divider lines for almost two decades? Wow.

Reminders is useful for reoccurring grocery lists but the fact that you can't freeform in it is sometimes a pain so I use Notes, too, for that purpose.
what do you mean by freeform in it?

I use Reminders for met grocery lists and once we check them off we dont pull them back in again. we just create another item next time we need it.

I used to like the Auto Grocery sorting but in recent times it has been awful...adding "chicken breasts" to beverages, adding Avocados to Meat & Poultry, or Bread Crumbs into Frozen Food.

You know you can do checkboxes in notes too right? I tap the box and it moves to the bottom. Whats difficult about that? I'm failing to understand what the problem is here, my guy.

Markdown support is VERY welcome. I'm honestly a little surprised that they're adding it... always struck me as one of those things that Apple was going to be weirdly hesitant to touch.

The article seems to describe the use of links to sections of notes only in terms of links to sections in other notes. What about using links to go to sections of the same note, so you can have a tappable table of contents at the top of the note?

Gotcha.
I also put in on some old things like iPhone 11 and 13, which are NOT mission critical 🤣, and they are overall much more responsive - despite the fact that they are still indexing because the indexing system is entirely new and has to index every damn thing on the machine.
(For example, the ancient iPhone 11 no longer stutters as it did with 26 and prior iOS versions)
What type of iPad do you have? How did it perform? I may risk it for the public beta just for the notes and drawings.

I canceled my Evernote account, which I’d been paying for since 2008 just last week. The combination of the exorbitant price hike, refusal to fix very basic UI bugs and instead focus on A.I. finally drove me to Apple Notes. One thing would make me truly happy: the ability to edit the ‘created date’ in Notes. I like the new divider feature, but have no use for the markdown and AI features.
Don’t know how feasible for you but reminded me of something I did for the dates…
I was using iA Writer for taking Bible notes. Other notes were in Apple notes. I wanted to merge everything into Apple notes, but I wanted my Bible study notes to sort of be out of the way (instead of creating new notes the study notes are just additions to a note called Genesis, Exodus, etc.).
I used ChatGPT to change the creation date of the markdown files to January 24, 1984, and then I imported those files into the Apple notes and it honored the creation date. So when I sort notes by their creation date, my random tidbits of life information are at the top in the study notes are always at the bottom. Using this method, I can also have a smart folder for all notes created on this date and that kinda partitions them off from everything else. It’s not perfect, but I’m using one native app instead of two apps.

Perhaps the notes that you want to change the date on export them as marked down files use ChatGPT or even the app Ulysses to change the creation date and then re-import them back in.

I mean cutting and pasting and placing items where you want them, rearranging, which is hard to do as you demonstrated. I like to arrange my Grocery Lists according to the order of the food layout in my particular store, so often, Notes is easier.
